Huh, it's funny how experiences differ. If you ask me, the maxed-out 370Z is one of the most effective multiplayer cars.
Yes, the upgrading of the cars is a science in itself. I hope the next update will make it possible to downgrade your cars. It is now not possible to experiment with upgrading. So if you make a "mistake" and upgrade too much, you can never use your car again in multiplayer. I think that's a shame, and it will be a lot of fun experimenting with cars and upgrades. I also hope for a season 9, in which we need to use the newer cars (Clio and later), not needed for the first 8 seasons. Pretty please?
You must have gotten extremely lucky with that car then. Used it a couple times and lost the majority because of the car getting burnt.
I estimate that I have somewhere between 500 and 1,000 multiplayer wins with that car. Boy, what a lucky streak.
Picked up the game about month ago when I saw it listed among top iOS games of 2013. Reminds me a lot of my love for Burnout Paradise. Played through most of the single player mode. At the moment, I just need to get the RUF 12 and Koenigsegg to close everything out. Early complaint in multiplayer was the way people would just tap me from behind at the beginning and I'd explode. (I always seem to start in the front.) Eventually figured out that you have to play around with the cars and upgrades to find the sweet spots. Also originally thought the idea of Nitro Boost and Tuning Kits was cheap, but they're not too terribly difficult to acquire. I like the maxed 370Z, but I find that it takes either the Nitro Boost or Tuning Kit to really compete well with the Survolts. Like was mentioned recently, I tend to just go for the one lap races in multi. If I had to rank the multi courses (forward and reverse combined), I'd probably go Monaco > Venice > Tokyo > Iceland > Alps > French Guiana > Barcelona > Nevada > London. Has anyone noticed that Iceland tends to have most aborted barrel rolls? Especially the platforms at the end...sometimes it'll just randomly pop you upside down.
That's not a lucky streak, it's a hell lot of free time to play multiplayer! There are some cars which I haven't upgraded at all, but I'd need them fully upgraded to get a 5-star win. That "electric only" race being one of them. I don't own the Mercedes, just the Survolt, but it's too under-upgraded to perform well and I don't use it too much either. A temporary fully upgraded car is all I need
Well then you tell me, how did you manage to do it and how are you in the top 10? Because i know you are using a certain car or something.
I feel like a broken record here but damn this cheating is out of control. Over the past 2 days, I won 37 races in a row and was getting close to breaking the top 100 in multiplayer. Then tonight, I get cheated 2 races in a row and drop 18 points from a 2nd and 3rd place finish. The guy is in the same car as me but doesn't have the boosts and flies by me at twice my speed while I'm in full nitro mode as he beat me by 45 seconds. The next race he knocks me down twice and I saw him crash 4 times and he still beat me by 30 seconds. This really sucks and I pray they get this update in soon!!!
I hear ya Jmart... thats the main reason that I am not playing in that mode much for a while now. I was telling Dark that I adopted the I don't care mode for this.... well after a few weeks off from multi I hopped back on and I found it so very hard to take my own advice that I got off again and not sure when I will return I end up running cars down really low in rank to stay away from them and did so for a while. All while not having as much fun as I do in the A class cars I prefer. Then one of them finds me or I find them... a couple of races lost and bam....10+ down and the blood boils. So Oh well, I guess my rank will forever suffer... and I guess I need to come to grips with that It is even bothering me via tournaments too. Good times to find your self down around 150 or worse... uhg
Like I said, a fully upgraded and boosted 370Z is very competitive. It beats the A3 (or whatever permutation of it Asphalt 8 uses) easily, and while Survolts with comparable ranks have slightly better acceleration, the Nissan can usually catch up to them. So while it may not be as safe a bet as the ATS, the 370Z is indeed that "certain car" (or at least one of them) you can use to get ahead in multiplayer — this was done almost exclusively with the 370Z. @Turbo 343 and JMart: I'm glad you guys keep testing the waters in multiplayer. I've stayed out of that for weeks as a result of the increased reports about cheaters. Can't wait for the next Asphalt 8 update that will bring us a lower cheater load for a week or two.
Were Tuning Kits used? That's the only way I can see the 370Z holding its own against the Survolts... By the way, what lower C-class cars can I use in multiplayer and how should I upgrade them? And how well does the GT86 fare against the C class regulars when maxed out (still have it at level 1)
Yup — "fully upgraded and boosted". Personally, I've used both kinds of boosters 100% of the time in multiplayer ever since they were introduced. Sorry for not stating that more explicitly. Is there anyone here who is somewhat concerned about their world series ranking, but doesn't use boosters? That would strike me as an exercise in masochism. As for C class cars, the RS3 (I looked it up!) works well when fully upgraded and boosted, but as mentioned above, winning against a maxed-out 370Z is a challenge. The 8C is great, too, and it's actually my favorite car in the game. Unfortunately, though, few players seem to use cars with similar rankings.
Yeah, this happens to me on a daily basis. I become used to it somewhat. I wish there was a way i could race you. In order to be the best you have to beat the best, right?
