When there's an update, hackers are gone for a week or 2, then all of a sudden they strike back, making there name.
ya.. .I guess I meant the new IOS update more less. That should keep them out for a few months I would think?
iOS 7.1 will be second or third week of March dependant on a couple of factors. Maybe earlier as iOS in the car will be officially announced in Geneva next week and that's an integral part and one of the major function updates in iOS 7.1. But importantly for us, it breaks the jailbreak as it is stands right now and I can't foresee a jailbreaking for 7.1 coming at all. At least very unlikely. All the known (and some unknown) exploits have been secured. So that in itself will block any hackers who update the iOS and block them permanently. Of course those that don't update the iOS will still be a problem but its worth noting the time taken for an update to the game itself. That will essentially break all the current hacks and the time taken is reflective of the fact that they are accumulating all the current hacks in order to block them. No date on when that's coming but it is coming and its not too far away. Other things such as having to update the game in order to play online, more factors that one couldn't mention will also be implemented combined with breaking of the jailbreak and the update to the game itself will put in place some very strong measures that will make it very difficult to hack at that stage and will most certainly ensure that it'll take much longer than a week or a month to see hacks again. I'm expecting many months of hacker free racing. And if that's not the case, I'll just stop racing because there would be little point in entertaining cheaters by trying to compete with them. They tend to get bored when they can't dominate legitimate players so I'll come back once they've abandoned it. I'm still expecting them to be gone in the not too distant future though because the two key factors (breaking jailbreak and game update) that will both block them and keep them out are on the horizon. Of course, hackers will always hack so it is inevitable that some will pop up again but it won't be anywhere even near the same numbers we are seeing now, not even close. I'd imagine the numbers will be small enough that the reporting of them that will lead to a banning of their account will be enough to keep them at an absolute minimum possible. Complete exclusion is never possible but the closer to that target, the better. Personally I'd like to see the update to the game requiring that users have 7.1 installed as that would ensure that all those jailbreak hackers (and the majority are jailbreak hackers) we are seeing now can't even play but I'm pretty sure that won't happen because of the backlash from people that can't or won't install iOS 7. Either way, the detection methods and security will be a lot tighter before the end of this month if all goes well.
The sheer fact that people have to hack into a free game simply to cheat and win is pretty pathetic. Do you really get any satisfaction on winning a race by cheating? I'm totally with you Turbo on the races where I barely win or even lose to a better player. It's awesome and makes me want to try that much harder. But to be way ahead of somebody and have them suddenly pass me like I am standing still is rough. Like you Turbo, I joined this forum after trying to figure out how these people were beating my best times by a full minute and am so glad I joined because you guys are awesome. I'm in the opposite boat though when it comes to playing multi v season. I finished all of the seasons with full stars about 3 months ago and haven't played anything other than multi until a few races I got in today. I already have all of the stars and every car maxed out so the money just keeps piling up with nowhere to spend it, but I'm still having a blast. I usually play games like this for a week or two and then get sick of it, but not this game. I play every day and still love it. I think it would be really cool to be able to place side bets with your friends before a race, right? It would be like real street racing! Anyway, just wanted to thank you all for your kindness on this forum and I look forward to racing you all. Jonm626
I find myself sticking to C and D classes for racing in multiplayer. I don't feel like I'm being overwhelmed by the cars then. Maybe that's why I don't climb the ranks in a hurry... do all the high-ranked people gravitate towards B, A and S classes?
Thats a really dope idea. Would definitely make the game more interesting. It doesnt matter which class car you use, you climb the ranks depending on winning against people with similar ranks to you or better. The high ranked people are mixed. High ranked people rarely use S class because its too hectic, unpredictable. The ranks they gravitate towards are B and A (B being the most used). The most used cars by class: Sesto/Mclaren 12 (A class), Mini Cooper/Alfa Romeo (D class), Survolt/Ferrari 599xx/Lamborghini Gallado/Shelby GT500 (B class).
Shafiko10 (plays from behind, waits till you get near the end of the race then lightning speeds past you) Cstunna (Now i have a story about this guy. When i first started playing this game, i seen his name a couple times. Then i stopped seeing and i never seen him again, not even on the leaderboards so i assume he got banned. Fast forward till now. I played him yesterday and i knew no way in hell he was beating me straight up. He did no jumps ever but was going fast enough to drive half the map like he had nitro on London. Today, i raced him twice back to back with this same result. He isnt traditional cheating, he is using some sort of nitro hack where he is always in constant nitro but the blue form so he goes slighty faster than normal. I noticed this when i started the race with a perfect nitro and he did a triple nitro. Now he was right on my bumper, like normal, but on Venice at the beginning, he never ran through the nitro because he was trying to knock me out of the race. But after he passed the nitro he still had nitro around the corner. I knew something was fishy about him when in a matter of a day and a half, he went from like 1770 something to 1840 and now he is stuck around 1850)
Man for me it is not even the races you are out front and loose at the end. It is the peps that just leave you in the dust like you are stuck to the flag pole outside on a cold day with your tongue stuck to it ya know..... I am like okay.......I do actually like staying with these races tough, and keeping them at least some what in sight. I know when they are done they have to think man its a good thing I am cheating cuz I would never had been able to hang with that fella Along with the knockdowns in the first few seconds... Man that gets my goat
Well....LOL....I just have been rein formed why I stopped playing multi... I just got on for a few races to try and make my rank a little more appropriate hence the current postings. But in just four outings I found a hacker that took 7 from me and then a server boot right after to loose 13 more points... Man oh man that is a patience tester Saddest part is I passed him 4 times cuz he kept crashing and I still lost by a large margin....
This may have been answered already but does anyone know how to get my Game Center friends to show up in asphalt? I want to race more ghosts so feel free to add....juniorg22
Just went from 1775 to 1748 in a hour. So basically i just wasted the last day or more playing this game to get bs'd in 3-4 matches. This game is the true definition of frustrating.
Should just do itself as long as you are logged into gamecenter while playing the game. If you continue to have issues just remove those who don't show up and we can re friend you and see if that fixes it. You show up as a friend of mine in GC but I never see you in Asphalt 8... So just remove me if it is the same for you and let me know or just resend friend request and I will grab it.
I heard that, at least for me earlier I lost about 20 point of progress but in total of my gain and loss it was only over about an hours time. A day would maybe put me on the news
Ahhhh!!! I just dropped 12 spots because after I won the race, it just kept me racing and it timed out for some reason. That took me 23 wins in a row to get those 12 points I just lost. Is there any way they can do something to tell the difference between a glitch like that and somebody quitting because they are losing? That literally felt like somebody straight up kicked me in the baby maker.
Oh man that is a bummer. On a different note. have you all had the suicide jockeys come at you yet? I have had this now about 5 times over the course of a month or so? I have also had a car just park in the road around a blind corner right at a bottle that was fun.... som B@%*ch Lastly is anyone tired of London yet? I mean dang it now, if that track is a choice it seems that they all want to run it. Don't get me wrong good track but....I am not sure how many times I ran that hog tonight. That gets old
And the amount of people ranked in the 1400s when I play D/C classes are, well, they might as well not exist. Would those cars you mentioned be recommended? I'm finding the Cooper to be quite impressive... So a maxed out Tesla Model S is exactly the same stat range as a level 3 Cooper. Add Nitro Starter + Tuning Kit into the mix and well... at least I'm back where I started out today. Oh, and I'm 75K credits away from the Agera R. This better be good...
I only race the Mini Cooper in multi (maxed out). Fewer cheaters and you get a good mix of challenging to relatively easy races (at least for my meager skills) that it's a good feeling to get a 9 win prize under these conditions.
I have a feeling there might be an update this week since the last 2 updates were on the first week of the month and every 2 months
