You can see the rewards. 1 trophy = 30,000 credits; 2 trophies = 2x tuning kit; 3 trophies = W Motors Lykan Hypersport. If you just want the tuning kit and you are confident with 1 run you can hit leaderboard 7,500 or better, then you can consider the rental fee as buying the kit. (9000-2700 if you land first place in the race, so 6000+ for 2x Tuning Kit). Heck, even if you only got 1 trophy (leaderboard 20,000 or better). 6000-9000 investment will net you 30,000 credits. Not a bad tradeoff. Provided you only play once and stop after that. Edit: If you haven't try the cup at all, it'll be worth your while to find Iceland Reverse map in your seasons events to train the shortest route, bumps and everything. Way cheaper than training the map by renting the car repeatedly.
Running Bird has basically the run all in all. I will try and add my full play by play since by now my wrists are hurting so bad chasing a solid 1.37 that I am going to call it done at 1.38.059.... Had a low 1.37 but clip the last rock just a tad and lost it... along with my internet connect that looses me a tenth every race. Tourny or multi Anyway...with both boosters and all nitro's mentioned are perfect unless noted other wise. Start with the best angle to the inside of the cars that get off right in front of you while getting to the inside of the main corner one. I know this starts with that slight bend to the right first but I am talking about the first main corner lefty...You need to hit basically all the cars and side impacts only. If I do not get all these cars then my runs all end in the high 1.38's. Micro drift and get the other cars on the side on the way to the tunnel. Collect yellow markers on the left all the way to the tunnel. Double spin of the snow mound (this is tricky... and one is what ya get allot) and take the left tunnel with nitro again stay tight but you need to stay clean throughout this whole race. All the way to just before you will leave the hole in the road. micro drift quick nitro and once I land I give a small drift to set up the shot out of the tunnel. Stay tight to the left, drift to line up the concrete blocks and nitro through them and then on to as many yellow markers you can... micro the tight left and stay on the yellow markers to the bottles. I take the right one and go straight to left side of the road soaking up all the markers again. Micro drift tight inside and take the yellow markers as far as you can and the left blue bottle, off the ramp double spin and back on nitro on the right side soaking up yellow markers again. micro drift the inside of the right hander and take the right bottle soak up all the yellows again to just before the left hander I drift to the apex take all those markers to a respectable angle to the first jump on the right and double it and land in the road..(tricky as hell you can turn your car in the air but do not turn to far or the wall will say what up) Nitro to finish hitting all pillars and you will need all. For me done right I know that is a solid 1.37 if you get it right. From what I can tell especially with a car like this one or its current configuration anyway, it is slow with out nitro so in the end you need to loose minor amounts in jumping and slight drifts to keep her on the bottle more so than other cars. It seems like it may not pay but it will! I know that the run I have as my current best I messed up at the end it had other flaws in it as well so I believe in the times of 1.36's to a point.. But not much lower at or if at all. Like I have said before, all the small details including clean never hit any walls and even one yellow marker missed can and will make a difference when chasing down the high positions on the leader board. Good luck all hope this is of some help to anyone
I would say yes as long as you have a solid credit/coin count and have an active double credit booster to use. If not then it can get pricy, but I use these as a way to hone skills on these tracks racing them for hours at a time. You learn a lot in doing so. Cheers
Well that did not take long at all... the hackers are back with what has to be some revision of the hack that was just fixed because the times they are posting in the new cup are just as obscured as they were before being removed from the Lycan.....Bummer Bummer...some of the same names too
Hi all! I opened an account years ago, but never really posted until I saw all the hackers on the leaderboards on the Ferrari 599XX tournament. I thought that indeed it may exist a big shortcut or something. I have a question, what is a determinant factor on the rental of the Lykan car? In the beginning, it used to cost me 3000 credits or something and now is 10,000 lol, good thing I have around 800,000 saved credits. The only different thing I have done is playing online multiplayer; went from level 3 to 15 or something like that in the past couple days.
Frustrated with cheaters I am new to the site, but have been keeping an eye on it since the hackers have started killing the game the past few weeks. While I do not claim to be the best at this game, I am pretty good. I have every accomplishment possible, all maxed out cars +7 million credits, 15+ remaining double credit days, nitros and car upgrades and I am in the top 170 players in multiplayer (would be much higher if it weren't for the hackers). Last time I checked, (and I'm also a little shocked and embarrassed by how much I have played,) I have logged over 7 full days of gameplay since I started months ago. I have never missed out on the top prize for any cup until the hackers started the past few weeks. I have played the new Lycan cup over 100 times and have never lost yet my best time is 1:38. I applaud the admins for kicking out the last group of hackers, but it is clear they have not done enough yet. It is simply not possible to get 1:30 in this race with this rented car and it is clear the hackers now see that they are booting anybody under 1:30 and are simply going for 1:31 or slightly higher. It is frustrating because it ruins the game for the rest of us who love this game and play it fairly. I really hope they do more because I should have every car in the game and I think a lot more people would have these cars too if it weren't for the cheaters. And it is extremely frustrating in multiplayer when I race a perfect race and somehow somebody who is way behind me suddenly beats me by 30 seconds and I lose 7-10 points for coming in second. It's tough to swallow and I really hope they keep booting these people. They can easily start with the Lycan tourney and kick everybody out under 1:35 because they are all clearly cheating. Just my 2 cents and thank you all for the discussion. I almost quit the game recently because of the cheating and didn't because I found this forum and see guys like Ryan trying to help out. Thanks for letting me rant! Cheers! Jon
@jid, that struck me as well when I played it first, it seemed very cheap even in comparison to the others. Then when it went up, I asked a question about it and it turned out it was meant to be the price it is now but the server errored at the beginning. Or someone entered I the wrong amount. They had to rectify it afterwards but it had already gone out initially. But simply it was a mistake. I was waiting for someone to ask that question. I initially thought I'd just seen it wrong. It wasn't on purpose anyway. And funnily enough, it feels like, you should be welcomed with your one post but as you're here so long, I sure it won't be necessary. @jmart, glad you didn't give up. Stick with the people on this thread and you'll enjoy it still. There a sub text of friendly competition between us all but we do also share your opinion so we can't consider it a rant at all. In saying that, I've enough of confidence to believe an upcoming update will kick them all out anyway and know for a fact that Ryan is passing all the info on to the dev team and that they (the dev team) have heavy time invested in the game, are very proud of it and plan on supporting it long term so it something they are equally as concerned and focused on to sort out. It just takes a bit of time. Stick with the rest of us here on the thread, some old members and some very welcome new additions, and between us, we will make the wait for an update to sort them (insert appropriate expletive) cheaters out easier.
Thanks Thank you. I will certainly try to stick it out, but if I lose out on another car because of it, I don't know what I will do. If there were 2000 legit players on here that raced better than me, I would have no problem losing out on the car, but when I lose out on them because people decide to simply cheat instead of getting good at the game, it feels hopeless. I really hope that once they sort all of this out and kick the cheaters out, they play some of the newer tournaments again. It sucks that I missed out on the newest Ferrari by 50 spots knowing that the top half were all cheating. I would hope that in the future tournaments, they would be able to know what a realistic top time is +/- 1 second and automatically ban anybody under that time by a wide margin. For example, we all know it is not possible to get 1:30 in the Lycan tourney let alone 1:05 like some where racing. They should ban anybody close to that. And people who are still racing 1:30 with no boosts?!?! Can it be any more obvious that they are not playing on a level playing field?
I agree with JMart there. It's pretty obvious that anyone under 1:35: are cheaters, so can't there be some system that automatically punished (banned, etc) those people. Also, any legit player most likely will use the 2 boost before trying to set their best lap time. So, i must say that the current to 100 is full of cheaters! (If there are any legit ones, sorry about that, and I respect you) I have 2 more questions: 1. If I meet a cheater in multiplayer (that i'm sure of), then i should report them right? But if their name is [][][][], i can't seem to do anything about it. 2. How can we spot a "smarter than average" cheater that purposely set time around 1:37 - 1:38?
Personally, I do not like these kind of tournaments at all. It seems that only the players with a high enough credit count get the chance to really practice and win the cars they can afford without the tournament. I really hate it that practicing with the Lykan costs this much money, even if you win! Maybe I'm the only one, but I'm done for now with both boosts on at place 6700 something. Going back to the Mini tournament and multiplayer, I'll buy the car when I have enough credits. Not racing it anyway, because the hackers are in A and S multiplayer...
1. = Yes does not matter if anything else send their info to Ryan here in a pm, if you can get a screen shot of the results even better and send that. 2. = You just cannot, other than the fact that we who can race close to what is possible know in our heart that it is not likely. You can just spot those who clearly are via no boosters or just flat out absurd times... It will come to pass I know for how long is the main question. I see people already back under a hack that has to be very similar to the one they just over rode so who knows. That little V-day tourny has a guy over 1 minute fast than me....no (exploitive) way!! Along with many of the following.
I know it sucks if you do not have a high credit count. But try and remember that in the end this is a business for gameloft and if you dont put in the time to gain a high credit count then that is how they make some money on the game since we do get it free. It took me a little while to do yes.....but long hours in the chair gained me a high credit count along with always running my earned double credit boosters and with out a doubt that allows a ton of time in tournys no matter the price tag. When counts get low, with the doubler run the higher paying events in the seasons that you can win over and over. You can gain credits fast if you do that. Cheers
You can always just race slow cars in multiplayer in lieu of practicing with the borrowed cup car: Icelend reverse comes up in multiplayer often enough to get to know the track. You'll even earn credits while racing. And slow cars are perfect for finding the shortest route on a given track, in my opinion, because you have enough time to look at every detail and choose your path. Then, when you return in the (usually faster) cup car, you'll know what to do. There are a few exceptions where experience with one kind of car doesn't translate to other kinds of cars — for instance, I keep crashing my ATS in Alps forward because there's one jump I'm used to that the ATS just can't do, and I keep forgetting about that. But there's no such issue with Iceland reverse, if I remember correctly.
Well, i only had a little over 100k credits when i started lykan. I grind when i have time and now i have around 400k. It's not that bad actually? 1 win in lykan cup will net me near 6000 credits with credits booster on. So the nett rental is actually a little over 3000. I personally spent about 100-150k on perfecting my time in lykan so I can't really afford the car (if the last pagani car price is of any indication). All in all, if my time is still within top 2000 by the end of this, my investment would've been worthwhile. Speaking of which, I can't see the tournament anymore. What's going on? I want to check my standing.
What is your time, Syu_z? I have 1:38.969, and currently ranked at 1427. I hope it will last until the tournament finishes, lol. If you have anything below that, surely will keep you safe @Rip73: thank you! For the "welcome" and the answer! And by the way, I NEVER got rewarded on that Ferrari cup... I surely didn't won the car, based on the times, but I least I've got the "second prices", but instead got the hmmm other "complimentary cup prizes"? I don't remember the other running cup at the moment, but I only had that cup prices, not the Ferrari ones :/ anyone experienced the same stuff? I mean, I tried REALLY hard on that cup and didn't even get the two cup prices? That's just wrong haha
That's the power of love. (EDIT: Our friend themarcoking isn't even in the top 10! He's #18 as of now — he must be lovesick.)
