Is the fastest time in the Lykan HyperSport Cup really 1:30:004, or is gameloft still deleting hacker times.
Hello people of toucharcade, I'm new around here, I just googling around tips about asphalt 8 and found this forum. It seems interesting and active so i decided to join in. I start playing asphalt 8 around 2-3 weeks ago and still don't have many friends who play it. So can anyone send me game center friend request? My nickname is irwansanjaya Anyway, i have few questions about multiplayer race. Thanks to the tips provided in this forum, i start playing it with citroen survolt and i must say that i'm pretty good. I get quite a bit of free stuff now and then. Here comes my questions: 1. My citroen have all tier 2 upgrade with rank 1160. Should i upgrade it a bit more? If yes, what should i get? 2. Sometimes i stumble into racer with nickname [][][][] (or longer) and i must say that they are either a damn good racer or using cheat because they are impossible to beat even when i race almost perfectly (with more than 5 sec difference). What can i do? 3.May i ask about your time at the latest tounament, the Lykan Hypersport? As reference Thank you before for the reply and request, have a good day! I have my Survolt with level three upgrades. I find that more than enough for the tiers I come up against. I think I'd prefer you're one actually. I wouldn't go much beyond three levels because of the matchmaking and tier categories. Those names you see are Chinese characters that don't show up properly in the game in European text. I won't say more than that My time on the Lycan is very poor so far as I haven't applied boosts yet. I'll be aiming for a 1:34 - 1:36 (give or take a couple of seconds) once I do though. Haha, well you have to pay attention to get infinite nitro in infected. I think that's easier said then done, but I could be wrong! I can't say what an accurate time would be since I haven't had the chance to participate in the tournament yet, but we are filtering out hackers as the event progresses. I'm sure Running Bird, Rip, or someone else who is really active in the event scene can give you an accurate time estimate based on their experiences!
I haven't raced in the Lykan cup myself, but my friends list (which includes some insanely good racers) says that low 1:38 times are the limit. High 1:37 times might be possible in what Rip73 would call a perfect storm race, but I wouldn't bet on it. Unrelated: Which one of you guys is HAMGR78 on Game Center? (I got a friend request without any personal message.)
I dunno, I can get a 1:44 with no boosts and without trying even so I'm estimating a 1:36 is more than possible. The boosts would surely shave off another 5 or 6 seconds and then 1 or 2 more seconds with a bit of effort.
I have not tried as many times as I would if the Lykan weren't a rental, but my best times have been high 1:38 range so far. That's with full boosts, but there's still room for improvement with my knockdowns in the beginning. If you get the beginning knockdowns perfect (meaning all side knockdowns and a lot of them), I could see 1:37 or maybe 1:36. Right now, it looks like mid to low 1:36 will get you in the top 100, which seems about right. Yay. Those guys below 1:36 must be crazy lucky. I can't really see 1:30 being possible, but hey, I'm just glad that most of the top 100 times look legit. Also, I'm surprised at how much I like the Lykan. It has excellent, stable handling and great nitro life compared to the Agera. Looks awesome too.
I would take acceleration to level 4 or 5 and not touch the other upgrades. I ruined my Survolt for multiplayer by maxing everything -- I had much better results with less upgrades. Before, I would get paired with Aston Martins, Maseratis, and other cars that I could just torch. Now I mostly get paired against other maxed out Survolts. Not as fun. Which leads me to something else I'd like to see -- the ability to turn purchased ugrades on or off. Like if we could disable them but not permanently lose them (e.g. have the ability to re-enable them).
I'm just telling you the times of people I usually can't beat. Considering how the two of us usually end up with very similar times, shaving two seconds (a.k.a., a single-lap eternity) off of those times strikes me as unlikely.
My best time is 1:38:601, The only way I can think of getting a better time is to knockdown the other cars perfectly without slowing down too much.
Well I just checked in the current tourny and around 1200 hackers were takin out that I can see anyway.. who knows how many others that were with the leader board and some how behind my time.....so that is a refreshing sight to see indeed! Ryan please thank the team for stepping in!
I've no doubt at all that there would only be milliseconds between us. I like to lean on the optimistic side though plus based on racing it in a very nonchalant manner and with no boosts, I suspect a 6 - 8 second gain could be possible and I have a low 1:44 already. Hopefully (and optimistically) anyway. I'll find out tomorrow or Friday when I get a chance to throw a good run at it.

Hello guys, i am new to this forum but i've been lurking and reading for some time. Currently 400+ over stars in asphalt 8 and loving it. I started multiplayer last week and it's been great as well. Might have encountered some hackers though but that's few and far inbetween. Not that severe to disturb my win streak. What prompted me to register was to ask, how do you get 1:38 in the Lykan cup? I tried for maybe about 10+ tries (with coin doubler so the rental isn't as painful) fully boosted and my top was 1:40:3xx. It's okay but not even within top 2000 so I would like to ask for tips specifically for Iceland Reverse map Perhaps it's the different usage of nitros? Or an even shorter shortcut? I know to get into the cave and took the left side for shortest route (I think). Also, is there an option to choose iceland reverse in quick solo race? I can only choose iceland. I'd like to get to know the map much better before attempting Lykan cup again. Anyway, @ryan, u guys rock. This game is so much fun, haha. I see more hackers climbing back at 1:30 times though.
