Final times is all you need to know to make this legit. Glitch or not you cannot get to the end during one lap in over 20 seconds or more when I run it perfectly.... Now 2-5 seconds can be had if you collect all the details but not 20+...period. For now you can find at least 100 in the current tourny... all those times are no where near possible.
Nope I do not believe this... but it is a cost of repair vs gain in the end I have to guess. I know they would love to get rid of them no matter what. but for a game that is now free and has the ability to gain free boosters and money in game via play only. It does not make a ton of sense to allocate to many resources to chase them IMO... It is a fair amount of work to do. Our input will take them out one at a time. With that said, these folks are claiming that even banned user names can still race under the hack I found. Which is really too bad, because it is the mother of all cheats. You have the power of god under that hack... sucks
There are more than you think. A bunch of them run with out using the hack until they cannot win. Then they leave the game turn it on and come back during multi matches anyway and all of the sudden they are way faster than is even possible. I am not the best by any stretch but I am very good and these guys leave me tied to the tree licking my nutz on tracks that I place in the top 20 during a tourny...
On an other note... Ryan it would be a great change to see knockdowns taken out of multi player mode matches I think. Cheaters or not it would make those races a lot more interesting IMO.... Food for thought.
Good point. But even then, I always wonder if they found some ledge to spin off from that I overlooked. That's odd — the iOS top 10 seems unchanged over here. (I was wondering whether they banned me, that's why I rushed to check.) Did they ban people that were further down? Or did you mean the current cup? That's true for cups, but I play multiplayer most of the time. In theory, the same applies there, but it's a bit more fuzzy. You don't usually do perfect runs there, so it's hard to evaluate other people's times. And the cheaters are usually a bit more subtle with their cheating in multiplayer. (In other news, I'm still opposed to this entire "disable knockouts" notion.)
I was just studying if there really are cheaters in the game. It's because he used an infinite nitro it doesn't mean he is a cheater. We must also consider that gameloft is selling nitro starter & tuning kit to upgrade the performance of your car and yet we don't call them cheaters if they won the race. The only thing is gameloft is not selling an infinite nitro which is readily available from outside gameloft. Do you think it is illegal for someone to upgrade his car from the outside? For me I already accepted this kind of strategy of other players. The only thing that hinders me to adapt this kind of concept is for fear that I get banned in the game. If gameloft stops banning then I might as well do the same to fairly compete with them. I think maybe gameloft must consider adding infinite nitro in there next update.
On this note the main reason that I do not like this ability is soooo many driver just drive right into you and that does not show skill at all. Plus times that you get knocked down even when they are doing maybe a few mph better is just not right IMO (could be glitching too)..... Does not mean it will ever happen, but if it did you would have to out drive and not just hit people. Trust me it would level some races and improve the quality of the race times as well. All in all the cheating is the number one issue for me... But it is a must live with for now.
If you adopt that strategy, you will be banned, end of. Not sure what you were talking about in previous post where you mentioned some scam or other but the scam and the hacking is on the hackers side and is illegal activity (in certain countries anyway). It is in no form supported by Gameloft and is actively discouraged by them. There is no justification to either support it or recommend it. If a player used infinite nitro, he is a cheater, end of. Irrelevant of what boosts Gameloft have built in to the game themselves. Infinite nitro is not one of them and completely unbalances the competitive element of the game. Whether it's readily available outside Gameloft or not or whatever you're saying there is irrelevant. It's still a hack, it's still designed by unscrupulous people to get a benefit over everyone else and is a modification of the software code. You're veering towards acceptance and adoption of the hacking policy which I am not comfortable with and totally opposed to so I'll be very clear, if you adopt a hacking policy in the game, you will be banned. Also if you adopt a policy of supporting hacks on this forum, you will also be causing problems as well as it breaks the rules of the forum. While obviously that would be up to the moderators but they do not support or condone hacking either and will frown on those that do so I would advise caution. Here we are all legitimate players, not hackers. Also, I think its time to move on from talking on the specifics of the types of hacks. While it may not appear so from the outside, Gameloft has the issue in hand. It will require an update to sort it out fully but don't be in any doubt that said upgrade is not in progress, it just takes time to build in the new code and measures and then integrate them with the servers and then release the update. It is being done though. Any talk on specific hacks needs to be sent directly to Ryan I think myself. Posting specifics on the page merely gives the less scrupulous a search term to look for and I see no point in making it that easy for them. I hope everybody understands that, thanks.
I suppose they could add it, but that would not be much different than just the way the game should be played now. Trust me things I have seen are way more than just infinite nitro and the hack I found proves that. These guys have literally the power of god... they cannot crash, they have infinite speed, infinite nitro perfect turning and more more more. I run with boosters all the time in multi, with the new reward system in multi you really have to in the higher ranks to even have prayer to be competitive. On the whole. I would be fine with a cheats multi and the regular or something of that nature. That way they could compete with each other if they like. But with the ability that has been given in that hack it has no place with all the real drivers at all!
First things first: Just got an email from the Lead Designer of Asphalt 8 and he says the team says "Hi" to the TA folks Second thing: The team is currently working on cleaning the Lykan leaderboard of all of the hackers. Like I said in earlier posts folks, it's a constant fight and since we want to run more tournaments in the future, we understand how active we need to be to run fair events. Just remember, we won't be rewarding hackers and it takes some time to clean and then update the leaderboards along with all of the other duties the Dev team has! Interesting thought but I'm not sure about that happening because I think knockdowns are part of the strategy to Asphalt 8. It gives it a different variable drivers need to account for in a fast paced arcade racer. Haha, I can tell you 100% that this isn't in our plans. Where's the fun in infinite nitro?
Hi right back Good to know thank you Good to know as well, thank you for letting us know Just a thought, because there is no strategy IMO with this. But with that said you pointed out the key word that some forget myself included...."Arcade" This is also good news
I think a cool new powerup would be (for lack of a catchier term) "unknockdownable." Basically, you can't get knocked down by other players and you never wreck from crashing into walls, though you could still lose speed or even come to a stop. I do like knockdowns overall though. I hated them in multiplayer at first, but now I'm the one crushing people The key is simply to get a car with best in class acceleration and to always use both boosts. The technique is also a little different compared to single player mode.
It is easy to avoid hackers in multiplayer. You just can't race S class or fast A class. Anything above 1500 really. Which is a bummer, I know, but I've been having a blast racing cars in the 1400-1450 range and only run across a hacker maybe one in 15 races. You can see even less hackers as you go down to C and D class but I don't find those slow cars to be as much fun. Where the hackers really annoy me is the time limited events. I'm not going to chide you about your semi pro-hacking comment, but I will just say that I don't think I would enjoy the game as much if I hacked it. The fun is driving well, not purely in beating people. We just need to make sure that driving well is appropriately rewarded. Tournaments based on minimum times instead of rankings are a good start. Though I would like it if there were more than 3 classes of minimum times, with the lowest one or two crazy hard but still doable for non-hackers. Like maybe 1:01.5 and 1:03 for the Barcelona event, in addition to 1:05.
It is easier to avoid but you cannot flat out avoid the hackers no matter the class. I have seen them in all classes... yes they are far more of them in the higher ranked car classes I agree with that. I was in no way agreeing with hacking at all. This hack deal as of late is the sole reason I am on this forum to talk about it and hope to help rid the game of it and the like. I too like the time related events, and of course agree with the same idea you stated via more time levels to try and achieve. But they still need to rid the hackers some day because when you are at the end of seasons the multi player is what I and a lot of people run and nearly that alone other than events. Now the seasons where all I played until I had nearly finished them and I was more than content doing that. After those dried up I turned to multi.
I don't like the idea of getting rid of knockdowns in MP, but it would be nice if they could be tweaked to where knockdowns weren't possible right off the starting line. Right off the line, there's basically no skill in it. You just need nitro and a fast accelerating car. It's almost a disadvantage to be in front if you get someone behind you who makes use of the strategy. And not only that, but getting knocked down right off the line is far and away the most frustrating thing that happens in MP. Your chances of winning are significantly limited before you even get started. I'm not sure if it's possible, but disabling knockdowns for the first 10 or so seconds of the race would probably solve the problem.
I couldn't agree more. That is by far the most frustrating aspect of multiplayer to me. It would be great if you couldn't be taken out in at least the 1st 10 seconds or a certain distance. Many times you are taken out at the beginning without any chance of avoiding it and then the race is over for you. If I lose a race this is almost always how it happens.
