This is how to beat the hackers in the Lamborghini Gallardo Cup. My Lamborghini Gallardo is only ranked at 1381 unupgraded. For sure you will get the 1st & 2nd award. The only problem is you will never get the 3rd award. The top 560 is real tough considering the presence of hackers. But don't worry since the prize for the 3rd is a 100,000 credits. All you have to do is win the race 12 times and be sure you have double credits. For each win you will get a 7200 credit multiply that with 14 wins then you now have a 100,800 credit. hahaha.. isn't that fun.
Game Impressions Hey Gameloft developers, (Ok, minor disclaimer. I don't want to derail the topic or anything but I couldn't think of a better place to post this.) I've been playing racers for a long time and I love Asphalt 8. It's awesome. I just had a tiny suggestion for your new Pagani Huayra. Its my favorite car and Im stoked that your bringing it to asphalt. About the paint job, I wish you guys would include the black carbon fiber canopy and black carbon fiber bottom section in each of the color choices (like the below pictures) instead of the solid color all around (Like the picture below) It adds that extra pinch that makes the car look special. I won one of the huayra's from the tournament and it feels like the car is just missing something. It would be awesome of you guys if you could patch it up. just a suggestion from a guy crazy about Paganis.
Damn Running Bird, I figured you were highly ranked in multiplayer but 13th! Good work. That's a lot of races. How many multi wins do you have? I've got almost 700 now so you must be well over 1000.
Hello Hi guys. Been playing for a while now but only found this forum today and decided to join in the conversation. I'm tews-ursa, that's my game center ID and would love to have the opportunity to race against your ghosts to learn (all you active guys in here). I don't know how to add people with game center (I've only had to use it with this game, and I'm hooked) and hope that you guys can send me friend requests so I can get to play with your ghosts. Uhm, I'm done with the single player campaign and I'm currently working my way up the ranks in multiplayer (Level 58, 1658 score. Fave car = Mini Cooper). I know it's not the most impressive which is why I'd like to make a few new friends here to learn more and discuss driving techniques. To the forum mod (Ryan, if I'm not mistaken), hi! Awesome game! I wanted to address an issue that has been bothering me since I first started playing. Not all of us can afford to buy the latest gadgets which is why I would like to request if possible to give an option to tone down the graphics in order to improve performance on older gadgets. If you're neck-in-neck with another player in multiplayer and you lag for just a split second, you lose. Also, the number of hackers are getting ridiculously high. Just look at the tourney top 100s -.- Overall, I love the game. I hope this doesn't go unread. Looking forward to your responses. Peace
Yes, very impressive. I've basically used the same strategy using specific fully upgraded lower class cars that win every time. Though eventually I get bored, try higher class cars and end up losing tons of progress by not coming in first a couple times.
I think you nailed it on the head with the "I don't care because I am #1" mentality. They are just focused on getting to the top in any way whatsoever. Instead of "Haters gon hate" I guess we could go with "Hackers gon hack" >.<
Hi there! I'm not the forum mod or anything like that, just the Gameloft Community Manager who happens to hang out here for a good portion of my day I understand where you're coming from on the device perspective side of things, but I think Asphalt 8 is a good indicator of how our games can function relatively well across a wide-range of devices. While it obviously handles better on devices like the iPad Air, I think it's cool I can still play it on my underpowered iPad 3. With that in mind, I'll be sure to make a note of this and see if it's something the Devs would consider adding in the future or with our other games. For the hacking, I've recently posted about how we are working hard at verifying all times to make sure that tournaments have legitimate winners. While hackers might be present early on in the event, rest assured they will be dealt with accordingly before the event ends. We are pushing for more multiplayer competitions so ensuring players get fair results is high on our priority list. Our La-Ferrari event had some hackers initially but the team was able to sort out all hacked times and only honest players were rewarded
Hehe, these videos reminded me that there is engine sound in Asphalt 8. I disabled that long ago (along with music), mainly because of the electric cars' whining. But even with gas engine cars, I've found that reducing sound to SFX only (i.e., wind, car-car/wall contacts, and ambient sounds) results in a calmer mood, which in turn results in better races for me. By the way, yakuzaahh, I noticed that you drift a lot, presumably to generate additional nitro. Did you (or anyone else) ever test whether the speed loss while drifting is actually worth the speed gain you get from the drift-generated nitro? Or is it more of a gut feeling thing?
Most of the time I play without any sound to avoid irritated girlfriend so I never paid much attention to whats the best sound combo. Ill try only FSX. Not sure about the drifting, it depends a lot on the car used but I think its just the way I race not only for nitro, also for quick turns.
Hello everyone, This is my first post. I've been an avid player of the game for a while now. I have 900 stars and manage to get myself in the top 1000 on the tournaments every now and then. Anyway, I just wanted to say that the hacking is starting to ruin the game for me. Look at the top 100 times on the current Ferrari 599xx tournament. The top time of 1:10 is about 20 seconds better than I could get on Tokyo reverse with a maxed out Agera. Admittedly, it was not a truly perfect lap and I didn't have full boosts, but for the 599xx that time is just ridiculous on the face. I don't believe a single one of the top 100 times is legitimate. I am currently ranked around 1500 with a time in the 2:14 range. I got this time using full boosts. Considering that the car is a rental and can't be upgraded, it is plainly obvious that better driving alone could not shave over a minute off my lap time. Maybe 5 seconds tops. I know these times will most likely be removed when prizes are awarded, but by then, I won't be able to see my true rank in the tournament. The whole point of the tournament for me is to see how well I really did. So aside from the obvious request to ban hackers more aggressively, I'd like to request that the finalized, hacker-free leaderboard is posted when prizes are awarded. Ryan, what do you think? ( ps thank you for having such an active presence on this thread ) Also, I'd like to note that this top 1:10 time is from a player I often see in multiplayer using class S cars (themarcoking). I've never been able to beat this player. Hmm. I wonder why. Can I reasonably expect to never see this player (or any of the other hackers whose times are removed from the 599xx leaderboard) again? Do these players get banned, or do their leaderboard times just get removed? I'd really like it if I could have a fair race using the faster cars.
I find that I get better times when I keep drifting to a minimum. Only for turns where I would wreck without it. Even then, I exit the drift using nitro as early as possible. It's hard to accurately compare lap times since there are so many other variables, especially how good my start is in terms of knockdowns. But I look at it like this: Say I'm going 200 mph and I drift into a corner. Say the drift lowers my speed to 185 mph for 2 seconds. For the drift to be worth it, the nitro I gained from drifting would have to get me at or above 215 mph for 2 seconds or more. So it depends on the car's nitro stats, but my gut feeling is that it is not worth it for most cars. That is also assuming you take the same path through the corner either way -- it's usually easier to get a nice apex line without drifting.
Hey, welcome to the thread! I've posted about this topic a great deal lately. Check out the post I made just 4 entries above your post http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=3120604&postcount=2531 TL;DR yes, we are actively handling hacking before tournaments end.
Hi Ryan, Thanks for your response. I did see that post, so I'm a little confused -- are you saying that the hackers haven't been weeded out yet, or are you saying that the current top times have already been verified? I don't understand how 1:10 can be a fair time unless there is some secret jump that takes you half way across the level... Does anyone know if a secret jump or shortcut exists? If you want to keep the secret, you can just say yes or no without saying where it is I've been looking though, and I don't think there is one unless it's just a matter of freak luck and bouncing over the barriers at both ends of the tunnel shortcut that's blocked off.
There is definitely one path that is way shorter than the others. You basically want to take the route to the left at every intersection. There is a hard left at the giant robot that is essential to win the the race. As far as the times go I'll have to check later to see what is reasonable.
