I'm not sure how Reflector works exactly, but if you could at least get the gameplay to appear on your PC, you could then use Fraps to do a screen capture recording that way. If you can't the gameplay to appear with Reflector then forget this work around haha ):

Nice! Well feel free to PM me a link of a video you are proud of or post here in the thread to share with everyone. I like checking out the high scores and runs you all put together and I get to share them on my end!

I'm stuck at 1:18:177 POS. 1360 (using Nitro & Tuning Kit) in the Pagani Huayra Cup. I did possible ways and still finding what did I miss. I could see from the Top 100 has even time of 1:12:617 without Nitro & Tuning Kit. I think it would have been better if there is really a benchmark so we could see our exact position. As a matter of fact I already lost almost 300K credit for trying to beat my record. For this I will just wait for the car to appear in the Garage and pay for it rather than waste my time for trying.

    Hackers unfortunately.
That recent jailbreak has "accommodated" cheaters and hacks are popping up all over the place in certain places.
It's an awful shame really as they really do ruin for the rest of us genuine players.

It's worth noting that Gameloft is doing their best and banning a load of them every day, literally loads of them, but there's so many out there that I imagine it's very hard to keep up with them and catch them all in time.

I'm looking at the top 100 times in each of the tournaments and I'm very sceptical of most of those times. Did some research as well and I'm disgusted at the number of hacks available.

However I'm delighted to see Gameloft is trying very hard and banning loads of them and the game seems to crash on starting a race for a lot of them so there is some form of internal security that is effective.
It's just that bloody jailbreak, which in itself is very dodgy, has made it spread too fast and too easy.

The sooner iOS 7.1 comes along and closes the jailbreak door, the better. And I'm very sure the next update for this will shut them down as well. This game of cat and mouse with them is very annoying though for everybody, both genuine players and developers.

Still a pity that those loser cheaters still do it, I really do despise those cheaters. It's one of those occasions where I wish every game had that jailbreak detector that I've seen in some apps, where they wouldn't run if they detected a jailbreak at all. Pity there's been a backlash with every dev that has used it.

I know there is genuine people out there who jailbreak only for the interface tweaks and none of that cheating crap but, man, this new jailbreak just.. Ah, I won't even say but it disappoints me greatly and has ruined so many games despite the best efforts of the developers themselves and the developers do try very hard to prevent it.

    @Rip

    Well said. #

  8. Well, the jailbroken ps3 joystick stuff will only make it far far worse rip. There are tons of people jailbreaking for joysticks, and many will resort to pirating too. I am pretty much the only non jailbreaker in the ios 7 thread, the world seems full of jailbreakers now because of jailbreaking for joysticks as well as the latest ios 7 jailbreak.

@Habakuk: Thanks! Insta-buy. (Seeing as I'm a Mac developer myself, I can't believe I hadn't consciously heard of Reflector before.)

@Rip73: Thanks for expressing my feelings on jailbreaking better than I ever could have. It's one of those problems where Gameloft can't win. Whatever they choose to do, they'll screw someone over.

Which thread? I am not a Jailbreaker either :) we should start a team; 'Team don't See the Point in Jailbreaking' or 'Team AntiCheats'

Me neither. Too much of a time sink, especially with regard to finding out whether a specific update will interfere with your jailbreak. I used to like tinkering with systems in my Atari ST days. Now I'm old.

Well, I have to admit its real nice to see people support and share the opinion. I know many developers will be delighted to just see that and know you guys are out there. Thanks.

And just in case, I know plenty of you jailbreakers out there have no interest in piracy or that kind of crap at all and are indeed genuine and only like some extra functionality interface wise.

It's just the others out there (and the teams motives behind this jailbreak for that matter) that have just made it so much more illicit and just a bit dirty.

Either way though, it is nice to see some people have an opinion on it so thanks Connector, Mess and RB for that. Many developers will be very pleased as well.

  13. In the ios 7 joystick thread in the general gaming forum, but I do have to stress here that people are jailbreaking so they can use playstation joysticks with ios devices now. So just being a jailbreaker in that particular thread, does not mean they are pirating.

Thanks to all the people who stand up to the hackers. I hope they get blocked soon, so that we can have some multiplayer fun with the A and S cars. Sadly, that isn't possible now. A whole area for those suckers alone would be great. If you can't beat them, join them. If it is possible to detect a hack, then make sure that they only race themselves, and keep the fun part of multiplayer for the genuine racers. Made it to the top-1000 yesterday!

And wow, the new Lamborghini is there, want it! Seems like a competitive car for multiplayer, with a low rating in respect to his (her) stats.

A whole area for them I agree would be great.
As a good friend of mine here said before, something like what Max Payne 3 did for hackers was a very clever solution. Difficult to do but very clever because they could only play other hackers and that ruined it for them as well.

And on the new Lambo, that thing is kicking my ass heavily in multiplayer no matter what car I'm using. It seems to just rocket away anyway any time I've come up against it lately even with what I considered decent cars. Its tier ranking definitely makes it the go to one for now.

And @Connector, just to support you're comment, a jailbreaker doesn't mean they are hackers or pirates in any way.
As I said in the previous post, they are very genuine and legitimate people jailbreaking for certain tweaks, particularly the PS3 controller aspect these days, that have no interest and don't participate in any of the negative stuff.
It's those that do the negative stuff that are giving the legitimate people a bad name and that's a shame also.

Hang in there guys, I know the hackers are a pain in the butt to deal with. I'm right there with you and feel the same way. We've got a lot of things in motion that will continue to improve the way we deal with these folks.

As we improve the processes I'm hoping we'll be able to stay up to date with all of the jailbreaks and stuff like that, that introduce new hacks with each update.

What I don't understand about hackers, is why?

I can understand the desire to cheat in a single player game, to just get to the end or to help pass that level you are stuck on.

But in the multiplayer, everyone knows you are cheating, and just to be the top of a leaderboard. I just don't get it. It's like the people who ha late GameCentre leaderboards; "ooh look at me, I cheated and now I am top. Everyone knows that I cheated, and are probably very annoyed right now, but I don't care because I am #1"

Meant to say cheers for that earlier but got detracted by my usual, making friends and trying to influence people:).

It is obviously nice to know that you guys take it very seriously and that measures are on going and in hand.

I feel I should clarify that the hackers only seem to have any success in the tournaments leaderboards and not much in multiplayer, so that in and of itself is very comforting.
I don't know if its the same for others but I very, very rarely come across them in multiplayer and haven't noticed any in a good amount of time, so security on that side is definitely top notch.

I came across one or two in multiplayer relatively recently (pre last update though) but them boys were banned pretty quickly and never again to be seen:) and the last update made a huge difference in that area because is far more secure and safeguarded.
Its only on the leaderboard for the tournaments that they seem to have any notable success and that's not online so I can see how that one is very difficult to protect against.

So just to be clear, the team is obviously doing their best and countering them very effectively in multiplayer and its just those guys that sneak through on the tournaments that are frustrating recently.
Of course, some make it through the multiplayer, its inevitable and annoying, but I've either been very lucky there since the last update or the measures are effective and there numbers are very small and rare. I believe its the latter.

And despite their presence in certain areas, it doesn't change that the game is still a huge amount of fun.
I recognise how difficult they are to keep out and I'm still very thankful at the efforts and counter measures the team are employing to both ban those they can detect and to keep them out of the multiplayer as much as possible, that is greatly appreciated and a fine job.
