Game Impressions Just won my third race with the Audi R8 e-tron. All I can say so far is: WOW! Motor sounds (electric) are very realistic. The physics are different than A7 especially when you finish drifting. Can't tell much more right now because still driving one of the weaker cars. But you feel right at home when you come from A7. The tracks are AWESOME! Local WiFi races are to find under "hot offers". Will test local multiplayer as soon as possible. Back to Career mode
Can someone explain this multiplayer mode? All I see is an option to go to a room, and doesn't seem to be enough players to get a game started. There is no way to challenge your friends is there?
Ipad 3 vs ipad 4 - Asphalt 8 Comparison Look at these two pictures closely. To me the ipad 4 version looks far better. Can't figure out all of the differences, but the particles are very apparent by just looking. The ipad 3 version looks kinda bland to me, and less detailed. Pretty big difference if you ask me, and now, I feel like getting an ipad 5!!! I think this gamereactor shot is an ipad 4 screenshot. This guy has me blocked, or I'd ask him directly, but.. Basically he's an epic homer and swears A7's "motor sounds" are unparalleled Actually, they're crap. They just recycled (poorly) 4th gear six times. Very curious if A8's sounds really are an improvement. Sound is important to me. About as important as the physics, which I already know is an epic improvement from A7. Not that that's saying much.. Dunno why I just asked this, getting the game in three hours, but whatever.
The engine sounds are supposed to be vastly improved in this entry, if you read the app description. Something about new recordings, I believe. Edit: Newly recorded high-fidelity motor sounds for realistic audio immersion.
Kj, the sounds in a8 are much improved over a7. Everything is better. In a7 the getting the nitro bottles and dollars sounds were irritating to me, they are now very dull sounds, and blend in well. The engine sounds etc are pretty awesome, but the really cool sounds come when you jump and after the jump, it does slow motion Matrix type slowdowns, and the sound effects for those are truely amazing. I like the music better in a8. While I didn't mind the techno in a7, a lot of people either liked or disliked it. A8's music sound track is pretty awesome.
Obviously it's missing the depth of tricks but I'm getting a massive SSX vibe from this. Still toying with control options ATM but ill be down for some MP later
