Just checked out the update, adding the tournaments was a good idea to keep people coming back. When can we buy the Clio? Or can't we?
I put one of my free double credits boosts to good use last night and grinded like a mad man. I did a lot of the S8 S class Alps Elimination runs, which net about 3k with the doubler active, only take about 45 seconds (plus loading time), and you don't have to pay any attention to the race. It's nice because you can just set it down next to you while you do something else, and repeatedly earn 3k with a few taps every couple of minutes. That said, I also raced a bunch too. I mixed it up to keep it from getting too repetitive, but the vast majority of the races I did were the FXX/Bugatti Alps VS in season 8, which nets about 9k (with the doubler) for a win, and only takes 2 minutes. Finally earned enough to get the rest of the cars/stars I was missing, and now I'm using the last few hours of my double credits to earn enough to get my favorite cars fully upgraded.
And the infinite nitro cheaters are back. I'll just name one example this time: "sumudr" isn't even subtle about his infinite nitro, and he's been near the top of the world series rankings for weeks. He just didn't play for a while, because he obviously had to wait for a new hack to come out. That hack did come out over the last few days, as a simple web search will show you. So I guess Gameloft wasn't able and/or willing to find a way to identify cheaters after all. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. And I bet a lot of the previously retired top 30 players will soon be back. That should be a pretty easy way to spot them, right, Ryan?
Sucks that MP keeps getting ruined like this. I went from winning a little over half my races to not even being able to finish top 3 in most that I played last night because of the rampant cheating. Same thing turned me off of A7 pretty early on. I hope Gameloft can figure out a way to stop it, but I'm not optimistic. It's likely that this game is ruined too.
Update: Gyro controls are alright. Actually, they feel a bit sharper than when I last used them a few updates ago. It just kind of blows that I have to wave the iPad around to play now.
I have always found gyro controls much easier, but then I have an iPad mini. Also, I thought this was the first update
Unable to synchronise tourney wins. I get an "error 8" every time. What about anyone else? Update: fixed now.
Like I've said before, the Development team is constantly monitoring multiplayer. If people have found a way to get endless nitro we will do our best to take the appropriate action. We did the last time this hack was around
Trophies I think it's unfair that an earned trophy can disappear- I waited until the Euro Sport league second event to open and immediately raced the course. I was glad to earn a spot in the top 100, only to be dismayed when I was knocked to number 6000+ a few hours later. I think that even though my placement changed, my earned trophy shouldn't disappear. Just my opinion anyway.
Guys, I'm at 507 stars and 840000 credits and my career is currently near standstill. The best cars I have in each class are veneno, c7, gtr, lotus, s4 with level 3 top speed amd handling at max. So what should be my plan of action to proceed further. What should be my next purchases to keep unlocking stars at a smooth rate without wasting too many credits? Also, now that I'm playing with pretty fast cars, I'm experiencing frame rate issues on my iPad 4. How are you guys dealing with it? Is there going to be any fix @Gameloft_Ryan
Did you mean 84,000? If not then You could buy any car... Trophies aren't awarded until that event closes though...
I meant 840,000 What I meant was what is the next cost efficient car upgrade I can do in each class which would both give me a performance advantage and unlock new events. I have the credits I have right now because I followed the best cars advice from here and I toiled without upgrading much with the same cars. So I want to continue this to have enough credits in reserve to make the ending parts easy
Trophies aren't handed out until the event closes, sadly. So even though you were in the top 100 initially, other people eventually beat your time as the event progressed. I'd encourage player to monitor their position and the qualifying times as the event goes on if possible to make sure your time holds up against the competition. With the newest update this is the first I'm hearing of frame rate issues. If this is something that's widespread then yes we will definitely need to address it! If anyone else on this thread is experiencing frame rate issues with the most recent update, please let me know what device you are using and what iOS version. Feel free to PM me if you'd like.
Oh wow! I have 85k and about 570 coins. I can't really give any tips though as my decisions have been terrible! Rip or Habakuk give good advice. Someone else did aswell, but damned if I can remember there name!
I currently have 400k halfway through season 5. I took advantage of the double credits bonus and won about 100k in one late evening, stupidly though i thought the promo bonus HAD to be used on the day of the update, so i lost half a day when i went to work the next morning and couldnt play. ideally i would have started the 24hr countdown at my own convenience... I would have made a killin I'm thinking whether to blow the cash on the Agera or use it wisely on cars to progress career mode, OR wait to see what new car is added
Cars will continue to be prizes in the time limited events as well so you always have a shot at getting cars that way
Definite frame rate issues for me as well on the iPad4 (iOS7.0.3), but not as common on iPhone5s (iOS7.0.3). Pretty much every race I do with an A or S class car (the fast ones) on iPad4 encounters at least one spot in the race where there's a momentary screen freeze at some point. On French Guiana (forward), it almost always happens shortly after entering the tunnel (after the braided roads and prior to the landing strip with the giant movers and shuttle).
I'm noticing frame rate issues too. I'm using an iPad 3 and its the first time i've really been affected by it in a game. Quite surprising to hear it's happening on iPad 4's though.
