For some local buddies and me personally each Asphalt series version (since Asphalt 4/iPhone 3G) was always our favorite iOS action/arcade game and since the iPad best video game of all times and all consumer software/hardware platforms because of the exciting local multiplayer features! And I'm pretty sure this won't change with Asphalt 8: Airborne! (I've tested, played and reviewed ~8,000 iOS games since 2008 and several other gaming platforms.) The iap simply unlocks the next series in the championship quicker, unlocks that will happen through very normal and expected gameplay on their own anyway. You can buy more cash and the usual but its all null essentially as everything in game is earnable through normal gameplay easily and is merely for the extremely, and I mean extremely, impatient. Easily the new best arcade racer on iOS that has already got the best reviews of a racing game that I've ever read for iOS. Plus a complete and utter steal at the price. Just enormous value for money in a visually amazing (on newer devices anyway) and utterly entertaining game.
