In all seriousness, when you jump over a ramp, in A8, you have to land your car correctly, or you will crash. It's similar to a ski jumping game, your car has to land on it's 4 wheels. And these comments are coming from playing it, what happens is if you spin off a ramp incorrectly, your car will veer to one spin angle. You have to compensate and land it correctly by counteracting the spin. You can do things like 360 degree rotational spins (like a bullet spinning) which is hella cool too. So there are some cases where it maybe better to do a 360 degree bullet spin rather than a normal correction manuveur. Jumping and tunnels are very prominent in this game, and correct jumping of ramps is critical. Plus the slow motion Matrix like effects are really cool during jumping sequences. I think this is what you are asking for. If you have any further questions, please ask.
Actually guys my question was more about what happen if i drift before this ramp. Considering that when you drift before taking a regular ramp you end up doing an horizontal 360 in air and when you take normally an airborne ramp it permforms that kind of side rotation. Then i wanna know if we can combine those two tricks by drifting before taking an airbone ramp.
When I played, I never really did drifts right before a jump. While I think the two inertia spins combine, but the angle of how you come into a jump does play a factor, so a drift jump should be pretty similar. I think generally players would not want to do drifts right before a jump because most of the jumps I saw were on straight aways, but maybe for hot dogging and the such, it would be cool.
@killjoy and dan't, do you not like A7 or is it just that you have played it so much? Tbh I haven't actually played it a lot so it will be fairly new to me...
I completed it in two days upon release and promptly deleted it. I recently reinstalled it and couldn't stand it for more than a day. I don't like it. At all. It's physics and engine sounds are too awful for me to enjoy it.
