Yeah, I agree with you 100% on this one. What? I never said I thought what Habakuk said was true. Maybe you don't know what blasphemy means. It means, his explanation to me had some rhyme or reason to it. That is all. To come out and say it is totally false, or to come out and ridicule me for asking of PROOF for a 8/8 release dates, those are words that can make you eat crow. And some of you don't seem to know what the term eating crow means, it means you were wrong. I was the first one on Toucharcade that released the correct information that Iron Man 3 was an endless flyer, the first one that confirmed that it was going to be freemium. The only one brave enough here to ask for proof of this phantom release 8/8 date. And now, while I don't necessarily believe the ios device release theory, it does have some reason for it. So it is worth considering. You know if it is going to be delayed for a month or more, it may well be worth it to wait for the release conferences. At the very least, Gameloft maybe making last minute changes for using the extra horsepower of the iphone 5s or 6, or the ipad 5. Kj, you say a major reason why the release was delayed was because of a fake app on android. Does that really make sense to stop the ios release? I don't buy it. What I just said above or what rip said makes sense to me. Anyway, who knows. I am just getting a strange feeling it will not release next week. That is all.

After Google spilled the beans early, Gameloft officially confirmed that their new title would hit Android devices on August 8th, thats tomorrow. However, this afternoon weve been informed of a slight delay. Asphalt 8: Airborne is the high speed, action-packed race game for Android and iOS, and as you can see by 8 releases, its extremely popular. 7 is still probably my favorite racing game to date, and Asphalt 8 looks even more promising. Using next-gen graphics engines for stunning visuals, realistic life-like physics and reflections, and much more. Weve been getting teaser videos and screenshots for the past few weeks from Gameloft, but this afternoon Gameloft has confirmed to Android Community that the game will be delayed. It will not arrive tomorrow, and they currently have no new date in sight. Hopefully the wait is only a week or two, but they have nothing to announce at this time. I was prepared to download and enjoy this racing title tonight at midnight, but were officially back on the coming soon wagon and well have to wait for further details. There also appears to be a fake on the Google Play Store from a developer listed as Game luft and wed advise that you dont install it. To end on a good note, since there is a little silver lining here, Gameloft just dropped a few new awesome screenshots showing just how impressive the graphics will be on their next mobile title. Check them out below and well update when a new release date is revealed.
Well I totally agree with you cause that shouldn't explain the delay for iOS. There is another thing. I checked a little bit and found out that Apple said that if gameloft. release the game next week it's going to be in the featured section. If you ask me I don't buy this either but this was worth sharing with you, because you are waiting the game too and this some new info, but I haven't heard from gameloft for three days.
And I read on facebook that next week new update for dungeon hunter 4 is coming out next week so that's another reason for not releasing next week. Good thinking @connector. You are right.
Well, I certainly wouldn't bet my life on it, hehe, but I am just getting a feeling this isn't just a real slight delay. But this isn't from a birdy or anything, this is just my gut feeling that it won't release this week. But after that, who knows.
Nothing new. Already done by Asphalt 7. A8 will bring out the full potential of the iPad 5 and vice versa.
Wrong. So woefully wrong. Gameloft do not have access to the A7 chip or iPad 5. The game was coded to be at its best on iPad 4. There may or may not be an update after iPad 5 releases but the A6X has not yet been used to its full potential by any developer and won't even six months into the life of the iPad 5.
Because it happened exactly the same with previous Asphalt and iOS device versions. I watched that very carefully. We are playing the Asphalt series since A4/iPhone 3G a lot! And I have always the newest iPad and—every second year—the newest iPhone. (The very day when they are available.) As I said (and proved) before in this very thread: The Asphalt series was always the first iOS third party software that was updated for new hardware features. Those updates came damn early (or even synchronus/immediately) so I am pretty sure that Gameloft is privileged and gets new hardware early for testing.
guys I tottaly doubt that A8 will come out next week I think maybe late august, and I have a question and I hope you don't mind because this is not the section for this game but I can't find another thread about nfs rivals, so I tought does anyone know will it be released for iOS or android ?

I could have sworn someone had already suggested that. Like, many times. The only prediction you've made this entire thread is that it probably won't release next week. That's fairly obvious and pretty much nobody has said it will. The rest of your excessively long posts seem to just be agreeing with whoever happens to have posted before you. Somebody tell this guy that Asphalt 7's graphics suck. Duh. Nothing has been announced but it's not unlikely. It'd be awesome if it was, especially if they handle it like the console regarding multiplayer.
