FB post removed? Checked asphalt page and gameloft page and nothing. Maybe the game will hit 8/8 as we thought. Just an opinion.
When you go on Asphalt's official page, there should be a video post for the second teaser trailer, go in the comments, it's there. I just checked.

For some reason, I feel as though 8/8 is the release date. Reason me saying that is because they added a wink emoji, and I know I sound stupid. But when I was keeping up with MC4's update on their Facebook, they teased us with the weapons, saying they wouldn't be in the game, with wink emojis. I know that this seems irrelevant to Asphalt's release/Gameloft's post, but let's hope that emoji was the mess around with us, and that August 8 is the official release date.
That was my first reaction to it. The power of the smilie. It's almost like they're teasing but then they spoil it by saying they'll confirm the release date. Therefore, I think the wink is an apologetic one. I'm actually analysing usage of smilies to gauge a release date for a game. I've gone mad.

It is. I'm really sorry all, I just got the email this morning after dealing with some computer issues and Asphalt 8 will not be released on the 8th. If I get any additional information, I'll be sure to post here and let you all know.
Not to worry. Its better that whatever needs to be fixed is being fixed now rather than later. Some tend to be tempted to leave stuff out the gate with a bug and fix with an update later. I like the new Gameloft that won't do that, its a good sign that it'll be right from day one. Thanks for letting us know.
