WELL IT COMES OUT FOR ME LATER. I do intend buy this game on day one and playing the hell out of it. Not sleeping on Thursday then I guess
Looks like the car tier system is back, where you always race against cars with comparable stats within each tier. Which is great, because it really mixes things up later in the game. Stats for cars appear to be acceleration, handling, top speed, and nitro. I'm a little bit bummed there's no mention of a "toughness" stat, like armor in A7. Seems like it would be very much at home, especially with the new physics system, but I guess it didn't make the streamlining cut. The three star system per race is back, but I'm not sure if the additional challenges will grant an additional 2 stars based on track-specific challenges (the A6 system), or if they're just random overall challenges like A7 had. I hope for A6 style challenges, but if I were to guess, I'd say they're gonna be like A7. Hopefully they'll add an option to buy out a challenge with some kind of currency, cus I always got stuck with the online ones I couldn't clear(they were bugged- no matter how many friends I added, I never got the star) Also it seems like you kinda have to take jumps in some areas of the game(see the part of the video where the guy does t take the jump and hits the bus as a result). Though it does look like said player could have just gone around the bus.
It releases Wednesday at 10PM for me, and that is the time that was left between the current time and that time 3 days and 6 hours now...
I will be getting it from an Australian account. Does the game come out on wednesday for that country? I am born and raised in USA. Just had a guy give me ausii itunes card
All this talk of release in a couple of days, so far Gameloft Ryan has not confirmed a release date, what proof do you guys have that it will release in a couple of days???
I wonder, 8th game of the series, released on the 8th day of the 8th month. Hmmm... just wow connector xD
Yeah, that makes sense, but there could be technical difficulties though. Anyone got any real evidence that this is true? But yeah sambo this seems like the current thinking.
Hey Ryan, could you tell us how big is this game installed so we can have an idea of how much we have to delete so we can install this?
I thought gameloft put a link on facebook with information and a release date, being the 8/8/13 I never got to use the link because it didn't work for some reason so i dont know for sure, but it was from the official gameloft facebook and I typed it in to google and it supposedly showed 8/8 as the release
Friday, August 2, 2013 Gamelofts arcade mobile racer Asphalt 8: Airborne is launching in less than a week and the French video game developer is doing everything it can to make us not forget about that fact. Yeah, like thats even possible. Still, a new gameplay teaser trailer of this highly anticipated mobile game is available, showcasing more than a dozen of licensed vehicles, tracks, and breathtaking graphics. It remains unclear how many devices will be able to run Asphalt 8: Airborne in all of its glory, but were of course hoping for a highly optimized mobile game. In case you dont recall, the eighth installment of the long-running Asphalt series is hitting the Android Play Store and iOS App Store on August 8, while a Windows Phone port is expected to launch in late Q1/early Q2 2014.
Can't wait until Wednesday at 11 p.m. EST! Like others I also am waiting on price and size -- only to know whether or not I double dip (iPhone 4S and Nexus 7).
Price has been mentioned a couple of times. It'll be ONE DOLLAR. I assume the game will be 2GB at the very least and may hit 3.
