Ok so I checked out the Alps course for you all to try and answer this without spoiling too much If you drive on parts of the course that aren't meant to be driven on you can expect to see some slow down, so pretty standard. However, for example, if a dirt road is part of the course you'll be able to cruise. You definitely get visual feedback depending on what type of terrain you're driving on or what the weather is like on the track. I think we also have a really cool set of tracks that can demonstrate this so I'm excited for you all to check it out. I also think handling/physics have improved a lot based on what I've seen and experienced. Hopefully that answers your questions a little, but also gets you all hyped up even more for the A8's release!
Well Ryan... Another idea to be applied in future... That green tour bus (Tokyo) and that yellow fuel truck (Nevada) for example, are able to hinder us. So it would be pretty cool cause great harm to them in an impact... The bus could overturn and truck could explode! Maybe it can be possible in a few years... So the idea is already provided! Action and reaction!
Not on the dirt roads, it is comparable in responsiveness to the paved roads due to the fact that it is designed as a part of the course.
Explosions are cool, I will not lie. However, in Asphalt 8 you definitely need to be awake and alert while racing. There might be some things you need to get around to stay in 1st place.
The hazards kinda remind me of playing split second, where you can trigger hazards around the map to take out your rivals. Not a bad iOS game either.
Kj says to me that you are really good at Asphalt, is that true Sambo? Look forward to playing with you!
This actually is looking pretty fun to me. It's about time the physics engine got an overhaul. Looks much smoother and a big step forward from the last couple games.
Hello... Ryan! Do you have any info about the maximum speed (km/h) possible to achieve? And which is the fastest car? Take your time...
Some suggestions based on A7: Drive/race in the other direction. You can do that very well right now and it looks great (almost a new track)but there is no timing/scoring and the woman's voice is going crazy. I know some ramps and jumps would be impossible in the other direction, but with some slight reassimilations it should work pretty good. Try it out! Local multiplayer is great right now (our preferred racing mode) but there could be some improvements. Records of best times. (We are always writing them down on a sheet of paperbut what for we do have computers?) A timer/clock running during race. Go professional: Split the laps in three or four parts with separate statistics. Where exactly I was really fast? Who made the best lap ever? Video replays/recordings of the races with the possibility to save/auto-detect of the most exciting scenes (crashes, overtakings). Vintage/classic cars. I have a friend who is really an expert. He could suggest some of the most interesting classic super cars (30-50 years age). I personally own a Citroën CX (not a super car but looks good) and a Citroën SM (Maserati motor). There is not only ONE racer with classic cars (just one NfS with a Citroën DS). And believe me: Those cars are PRETTY! Why not have an Asphalt variant with classic cars? This would be OUTSTANDING in the video game scene! We would LOVE to see classic cars in a racer.
