Oh cool, I found them at GL Blog (US) they were just below "proof for internet" post One you posted is most impressive, also I was almost sold on new Nexus but The Verge had some interesting things to say related both to Asphalt 8 & new tablet. "As for games, we gave Asphalt 8 Airborne a shot and, just as in Google's on-stage demo, it was graphically better than most Android titles we've seen. The clouds reflected off the rear windshield and the parts from the battered car flew sharply though at the end of the day a really good-looking game on Android still isn't as good as the best iOS has to offer"
RIGHT! Brrobotix... Are you a lawyer? Slow motion might be associated with the nitro recharge too. Well... Here's my new idea: A ramp exactly on the roof of the tunnel... It would change all points of view! Gameloft_Ryan What do you think? Can you keep that idea too?
Hi all, guess I am one of the lucky few to have played Asphalt 8 already, my screenshots and comments are located here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=197663 It is an AWESOME game, of course I was playing the E3 alpha version, but the fun factor is through the roof! Gameloft Ryan, I was talking to the main rep at E3, lost his business card, do you think you could pm me his info? He was very kind and was very knowledgeable about Gameloft games, in fact, the Gameloft booth at E3 was awesome. If anyone has any questions about the game, please ask, also, take a look at my screenshots of the game. I am really looking forward to it. The jumping is awesome!
I think that is a load of BS. I have both an iPhone 4S and a Nexus 7. And I will readily admit that I play on my iPhone more than my tablet BUT the reason has nothing to do with the graphics. It's just plain and simple that iOS has a much stronger developer base and more quality games because of it. However, the games that I've double dipped in, some look better on my N7 because of added Tegra effects. No, it's not a big difference, but to say a good looking game on Android isn't as good looking as it is on iOS is not true unless the developer themselves doesn't put as much effort into it. Android, particularly with the newer processors coming, doesn't have a problem with powerful gaming engines. All that said, I don't know if Android will ever catch up with iOS gaming in volume and quality. And the biggest problem with that is the shear number of chipsets that need to be tested on, etc. There's too much splintering. And it has got to be a major pain and obstacle for devs who want to port iOS games to Android. So I guess I'd still easily recommend iOS over Android for gaming just due to the number of quality apps on iOS over Android. But to say Android games can't look as good as iOS ones is still incorrect IMO. Anyway, sorry to derail the thread, but just felt the need to put that out there. I think A7 looks fantastic on my N7 and I'm sure Asphalt 8 will as well. Depending on the price point, I may double dip on this game as well.
He likely got his screens from E3, so they're probably pretty old already. Which is why we have had them since E3....
Well, you may have seen my shots elsewhere on the internet cause I posted them and then they were reposted to alot of places. But these have never (to my knowledge) been posted on TA, though I dunno, maybe they were by someone other than me. These were taken from my ipad 3 at the Gameloft Booth at E3. Will repost them here for you, I also have higher resolution pictures of this if anyone wants to have them, pm me. The originals actually look so much better.
I'll definitely be monitoring this thread for ideas of all sorts. Can't make any promises but I do like to see community innovation and feedback on our games! Please feel free to just call me Ryan if it's easier haha
