Damn, well at least it's coming right? It could've been in developer hell in the worst case scenario, so I'm pretty happy it's coming.
Absolutely its coming. It won't be any later than that date. It possibly may have been a developer hell last week for some but not anymore by the looks of it. Anyway, a simultaneous release makes a lot of sense really if its possible. A lot of people with Android do voice their discontent at getting stuff later than iOS so it might be an attempt to equalise a bit. Gameloft is a lot more proactive in relation to feedback these days. But it does make them a lot more difficult to predict.
Maybe they're waiting for iPad 5. As far as I remember some of the previous Asphalt versions were published shortly after/before new hardware. But they supported always older hardware and updated Asphalt regularly for making use of new hardware/iOS features. Actually, Asphalt was the first (Gameloft?) game that supported 16:9 screens if I remember correctly. Anyway. Asphalt is one of the important reasons (besides music making software) why I always need to have the newest hardware. No joke.
The iPad 5 is a lot (emphasis on a lot) farther away than this release. Two more weeks isn't that long to wait.
YES IT IS. In those two weeks of waiting I could've beaten the game :/ hell I'd have probably have it done day 1. Well it might take 2 days. BUT IN THAT TIME I COULD HAVE GOT TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER AND EVERYTHING AND I COULD'VE WRECKED SHOP. Then KJ beats me but anyways, see how those two weeks of waiting could've been used playing this game?
Well atleast now I won't have to get my hopes up every Thursday. Well, I guess just not next Thursday, cus the one after my hopes will definitely be up. But regardless, I can relax knowing the release date now.
Hey Asphalt 8 thread just wanted to stop in and say "Hi!" I'm the new Community Manager for Gameloft in NA and have been lurking for a few days around TA forums. I saw how active you all were and as Asphalt 8 will be my first release with Gameloft I'm really pumped too! Yeah, now that I'm with Gameloft, checking forums and seeing what's up is a big part of my day so I'll definitely look to chime in. Really glad to see how excited everyone in this thread is for A8! Side note if you all didn't see the Google Press release from earlier today, A8 was featured there and they demo'd some gameplay on the Nexus 7. Link below!
