Ok and if they react with the speed of the NOVA3 update will have to wait till the end of August for the new version lol
The thing about freemium games is that there's a viable market for them since people keep pressing the buy now buttons ( namely kids playing on the adult's phone) and there's a no refund policy on digital purchases. Saw a documentary or something pertaining to this and how immoral it was or something xD. But yeah, they make more with an item store than they do with a one time fee. Tis why Gameloft refuse to comment on the freemium tip they're on now
I don't know if this is their strategy with this price, but keep in mind that a company that release a game at 0.99 doesn't target to hardcore gamers (the he/she who buys it for $ 6.99 anyway) but to casual gamers that they don't care and buy games witch costs more than 0.99. IMO with this price they are trying to catch all these casual gamers and as for the more dedicated players they count that they ll buy some iaps because they are perfectionists and they want all the cars and because of the low starting price. I have heard all the opinions that the iaps aren't need but if i was GL i wouldn't push them from the beginning but i would wait for the later stages (so the gamers would already like much the game)... so i think we have to play enough the game to be sure how hard or not they push them.
i've bought the previous 2 of these and deleted them due to space limitations. So now i just won't bother, am sure its good, blah blah ps this is not just gamelofts problem, we have at the moment a stupid expansion in file size, which apple has not followed.......blame who you want !
Game Impressions iPad (3rd gen.) after install: 1.4 GB. (Btw Asphalt 6: 1.7 GB.) It becomes better so far…
Oh, sorry! Didn't read that correctly! I think, when you play the game more and buy new things and get more data on it, the file size grows.
That's what I was thinking. If I'm not thoroughly convinced, I might as well keep A6, although I'm hopeful and want the new one! Can't keep both, so it's important for me to make the right decision here. Will follow the thread until later tonight to see.
Take it easy, dude! Can't really expect many impressions until a few more hours yet! By later tonight or tomorrow you'll probably get all the answers you need to decide what you wanna do in terms of whether this is for you or not. We gotta be patient.
Should of been called asphalt 6.5, its a good game, graphics/effects have been updated so thats a plus. Cars handle better and it runs smooth. Theres a track thats been taken from gl's fast five racing game and tracks from asphalt 6. Overall a good game but just feels too much like asphalt 6. The biggest upgrade is the graphics (playing on a 4s) so not sure if people with older devices should skip this one. Also, the iap does not effect you at all, its just like how a6 was. theres goals to acheive as well, like win a competitive event without any knockdowns.
Sorry, I don't get what this shadows bug is on the new iPad. All the cars have shadows underneath which change angle/shape depending on what bit of the car the "sun" hits.
Dude, I have no idea what you are talking about. File size doesn't change the more you play the game. I'm talking about file size after install. For example: Asphalt 6 is 590mb, after install it is 1gb.
Graphics are absolutely horrible on the new iPad. jagged edges, bad draw distance and everything is blurry, it clearly does not support the retina display. a step down from asphalt 6 graphic wise IMO
