Bought this game, frame rate is quite bad on my iPhone 4. Real Racing 2 is still miles better with no lag.

Send me a request. I put up a lot of challenges and play all the ones sent to me. It was annoying achievement / star to try and get for me so happy if it helps out.

Does anyone else have problems trying to play matches online? If I can even login to the mp menu, if I try to join a room, it says it's no longer available and I can't seem to play online at all aside from challenges.

    Sure.
It seems that today there are more problems than usual, though. Hang on tight, maybe it'll be better tomorrow...

    As we're talking about multi...

Gameloft has "managed" to make multiplayer the least stable of the last 3 editions. I could write an essay about it, prolly, but I don't give a shit for now, can't be bothered to write it here, too. I'm just hoping it'll be better and they WILL fix at least the basic problems.
This was supposed to be a long post, but oh well... #### it.

So after completing all of the cups and earning all of the stars from all 100 goals. What REP level does one have to be to unlock the Bugatti Veyron?

Also, there is a glitch on my profile. I have completed all of the goals, and when I subtract all the other ways of earning stars from my total number, I am left with 100 stars earned from goals, like normal. However, in my profile it states I have completed 125 goals. GL should address this glitch.

Well, if it costs less than 1 dollar... pirating it seems to be totally idiotic, but still total morons like your friend do exist on Earth.

And uh, please USE YOUR BRAIN. Buying the game doesnt' change shit, cos..
Gameloft is notoriously infamous for multiplayer bugs, although this time they managed to struck a whole new level of bugness.

    See, told ya! :D
Dunno if it will work, but connecting to MP (if you manage, that is..) could very well fix the problem. Or not. :D
It SHOULD, since the backup is made at that very moment (you "export" your profile then). Any problems associated with it should be fixed. At least in a nice theory created by me ;)

As for Bugatti, it's really not a quantum physics thing to count it.. Here goes:

261 stars for all the cups done 100% + 100 stars for all the goals = 361.
You need 405 for Bugatti, if I recall right, so..
Level 44 is the answer (since one starts with level 0).
    You're welcome ; )

  10. If you reread this thread from post 1, you will find numerous posts about differences and a7 recommendations. I know there are like 45 pages, but this thread has some really good posters, so there is a lot of information there. Plus lots of links to youtube videos.

But I think that the consensus is that a7 is superior to a6, it is a highly recommended game, and at one dollar a true steal since it can be played without inapp purchases.

What is the control layout that most people think is the best? I don't know what it is but I find the tilt control a bit imprecise.

    Only "D".

It still needs some fixes from Gameloft though (notice that in A6, one could move all buttons). In this edition they're also too small and there's no option to resize them.

I totally agree. I have a6 and there is no comparison. This is 100x more fun. I can even drift!

  17. I personally usually use tilt, but once in while I use some of the other control settings. I like Asphault 7, because it feels like a true arcade game. While in real racing 2, I use a manual accelerator, in a7, I usually just use the auto acceleration and tilt steering, to get an arcade feel.

I think it was planet who says it is great to use manual accel, and I too sometimes do it to get a more realistic experience.

I like how you can do a lot of control options, and all seem to play well. Also, it is fun to experiment with the camera angles, I like the hood view, even though for points I got no idea which one is best for points.

Actually this is a good question for planet and coreplay, do camera angles affect scores? While the hood view seems to have the best framerates on my new ipad, I often wonder if I did the normal car view, whether I could get more points.

Well, you must have had confused me with some other person going by the same nick, that is uh.. just joking, I just didn't say that : D
And I would disagree on manual accel, since it complicates things up a notch.
Same would go for gears etc.
And that's supposed to be an arcade.
    Simplicity is the key.

Far view is the best. 'Nuff said. Quite easy to understand why methinks.

Views don't affect scoring - AFAIK. I think I'm on the target, since it doesn't make sense.

While we're at it (hello rotting thread), I encountered a strange bug that pissed me off for a good second:
All cars (frankly speaking almost all cars, don't ask me why, how..) had window color tinted BLUE, and the decal set to the 8th one (or the 9th option, since the 1st is 'no decal'). But get this: decals was also put on the cars that didn't have any option for selecting the decal OR the ones I didn't buy yet!
The solution? Turns out that one can force no decal by selecting a car with no decals available, and then use the "apply" (or how it goes) button - which appears after selecting the decal tab (even if it shouldn't).
Didn't make a screenshot, but I still have some cars not bought and they TOO have the decals and window tint changed!
Will buy one, hopefully it won't have decal options possible, will make a screenshot then. Or before buying: P

Also am slowly starting to grind multiplayer... Most (really most) of the time I win, but last time I checked the game gave me stats like 24-42 (wins-loses). Something is HUGELY bugged here.

I can't even start with describing or simply noting multiplayer bugs, cos since the list is that long, it would take me a quite a while to just write it down.
    Considered multiplayer REALLY BUGGED.

    REALLY, REALLY BUGGED.

    Nihil novi in that matter...

Not that single player doesn't have any heavier bugs.
Like teleporting from the shortcut (or the second route) to the main track in case of big speed and random ram into a wall.
Or "magic flying" - also associated with high speed and also, ramps (check out Tokyo eg).
There are some other, but uh... since this thread is getting slow, I don't see a burning point to write it all down.

We enjoyed local multiplayer for 4-5 hours now despite of the errors. It's a blast!

But two details are driving us nuts. There are important yellow double arrow symbols on the streets (since Asphalt 6) which power up your speed essentially for some time. Now in A7 those symbols vanish for something less than a second when someone hit it. So when you are close to a leader he will catch the bonus element and you can't get it. We even started to brake for getting a more than a second distance in advance to the arrows symbol; you'll lose less than not getting the bonus. Hard to describe.

And the timers. They built in timers in multiplayer modes at the start and the end of races. You have one minute and thirty seconds p.e. for changing cars or tapping "ready". When the timer runs out the game starts. This makes sense for online multiplayer games (kicking out players who can't decide for a long time), but not for local multiplayer. They should disable those timers for local multiplayer for different reasons.

Other than that (I am pretty sure that the errors will be fixed; it was the same with Asphalt 6) for some friends and me it's the best action game in iOS App Store, best multiplayer experience, best video game (local multiplayer) of all consumer software platforms. The tracks, shortcuts and the cars are gorgeous, the speed feeling is excellent. Pretty challenging with the pimped up super cars.

The shortcut via the subway railroads in Miami is fantastic. Hard to find because it's not marked in the maps. You have to leave it by time in a very hard S bend for getting the yellow symbol (short-time speed power up) when you land on the regular track street.

BTW I didn't spend any real money other than the 0.79 EUR for the game. Didn't buy any "sponsors"-bonuses for game money. Almost done with career mode (all races with three stars up to cup 11, still some missing in the last two cups).

These are called "speed boosts" ; )

Actually, it ALSO did disappear in A6, just for a much shorter period of time. But I also don't like the longer respawn presented here. I'm pretty sure it's on purpose, just like nerfed 3rd nitro... : /

You apparently didn't play enough online multiplayer, you disinform people.
Either get your facts straight and THEN post - or don't lie.

    First of all,
timers are broken, in a way. It's 1:30 countdown from the start, but each joining player ups the timer to AT LEAST :30. So at the end, when players quit and rejoin, the start of the room can take up forever.

And if the timer counts down, the undecided players are JOINING the game, not BEING KICKED. One doesn't have to actually press READY.
Learn your facts before posting wrong.

And also there is a bug when the host readies and everybody else also already did, but the game doesn't start (note: it should). Just lovely.

Not that this is the only bug associated with starting the game...

And why not? It helps n00bs to get their asses in a fix :>
Either you join a game and decide to play, or you don't join - simple as that.
You cannot chat or do anything else BUT change cars/upgrade/customize them - in the game room, of course. The timer is still ticking while you're at it. That's it.
In local it should be easy to decide when people are playing, right? Unless you're playing with some undisciplined kiddos...

Either you're talking about ONLY local or you're whacked in the head.
With such amount of bugs it's hard to call the game "good", not to mention "great". Just OK, if anything.

Or just keep on the right side of the shortcut and exit when needed... lol.

Wow, so? Took you long enough. I almost have all cars (only the cheaper ones are left, 540k or below), long time ago lvl 80, of course all goals and quite a nice amount of trophies gathered (not that it matters). And I'm not really grinding. If you're really playing that much, especially local multi, you should have more : >

BTW, you didn't answer my last post. I'm starting to think you're doing this on n00bish purpose : >
