Anyone else notice that taking down opponents are more difficult compared to A6. If memory serves me correct, I believe if you activate your nitro right behind a car it would cause a takedown. In A7 you literally have to ram them into the wall. Anyways, probably the best dollar I've spent in a while :)

THANK YOU! This is great. I hate it to be stuck on one device.

You can take them down by using Adrenaline (Full Nitro).

@iANiMeX i know that but in A6 you were literally able to boost behind someone and they'd be taken down lol

No problem. Just don't forget to sync your progress again by connecting to the Asphalt Tracker when you wish to play the game again on another iDevice. I think the game doesn't back-up or save your current progress in the Asphalt Tracker automatically.

Habakuk, thanks for all of your detailed responses.

Since I'll lose a lot of progress in the games I mentioned and am not mad at A6 at this point, I'll probably hang on for a while until I can make some room without as much of a hassle.

This is more like asphalt 6.1 . Unfortunately the technical advancements are very small , considering the leap between nova 2 &3 for example . Other than that the game is fun and a steal at that price and you don't really need to pay an extra cent to enjoy it .

I know someone said earlier there's a bumper view so that's pretty close. About to go to bed and this is still downloading. I'd tell you otherwise.

Bought this last night and I have to say this does feel like Asphalt 6.5....that said, real improvements have been made. The sense of speed is great, the lighting is terrific, and the drift mechanic is much improved. Also, this game has cleaner graphics, better car models and more of an identity graphically speaking, over the usual Gameloft candy colored sameness that all their titles seem to share. Feels a bit less generic this time around. I find the menus easier to use, and the announcer isn't constantly cracking lousy jokes!

Are the controls (tilt) and graphics & textures both better than Asphalt 6? Some people have said they are, some people say 6's are better.
    What do you guys think

My only gripe is that pushing ai cars into the walls for a take down is harder in this game. In asphalt 6 you just guide them to a wall and they're done. In this one you have to push so hard you end up wrecking yourself.

    ...

I am definately liking this game, I love the music, graphics, controls, and the menus. Plus all the upgrades and cars and the gameplay is definately solid, liking what I am seeing so far. I played an hour on my lunch break and I was pleasantly entertained the whole time.

Try using Adrenaline mode instead (i.e. when your nitro bar is full). It will knock them down instantly, and if you want to do it again sooner, you can tap the breaks to exit adrenaline mode and retain most of your nitro bar.

After that, it's just a matter of drifting a bit to fill it back up again and be able to activate Adrenaline once more.

That's pretty much the easiest way to get a lot of knockdowns in the "beat 'em all" type of events. In actual races, however, I usually don't bother about trying to knock 'em out at all, I just zoom past them :p
