Did anyone notice that the updated Tracks from Asphalt 6 are actually just taken from Asphalt Injection?

    Here's some gameplay:

I bought it last night and I have to say it's definitely worth at least a buck. The only thing I don't like is that there are different classes of cars. I would rather have a single line of cars to work my way through. I don't like that I might buy a car but can only use it at certain points in the story.

Ah, now that's a very good question. I know it's directed at someone else but here's my two cents anyway.
Considering the games you're gonna have to delete, but are keeping Asphalt 6, it's probably not worth it.
But only if youre not deleting 6.
Personally, I would recommend replacing 6 with this. It is a very big improvement on it but it keeps the feel and play elements of 6.
To me, keeping Asphalt 6 over this would be pointless really but that's a purely personal thing.
If I had Shadowgun and Sky Gamblers to delete, that would just be a bit too much as well though because they are excellent games.
But you should seriously consider replacing Asphalt 6 with this. You'll even free up some space. Plus it is massive value for money.

I definately would if it weren't for the fact that A6 is on my iPod Touch 2G and this won't run on it.

I'll probably wait until I finish a few games, but right now I'm jammed packed on my 3GS.

I asked this a few pages back, but I'd like to ask it again since everyone has the game: Is Asphalt 7 better than 6 and why or why not?

I haven't decided which one better, but I'm leaning towards 7.

If the under pressure mode is the one where you try and kill all the other cars in the race, yes it has that. If its not, oops.
The modes, off the top of my head, are knockout, normal race, time trial, eliminaion and drift. Or at least those are what I've come across so far.
Plus in answer to your other question, I think 7 is better. It just has a more polished feel, handling and responses are better and the cars are super cool.

Tried this game on my iPhone4 (5.1.1) and it lags. It lags to a point that I always crash. I've tried playing the Knockdown mode and it lags too much on that mode.

You can still load your progress to your other iDevice by connecting via Asphalt Tracker (Gameloft's iCloud Clone lol). Connect your Gameloft Live or Facebook account there and just login on another iDevice to continue progress. Or you can also import save file from your other iDevice by going to the Option and choosing profile and import save.

It's defenetly a steal for only a buck. Of course I had to grab it immediately :D

How can you say that IAPs are absolutely unnecessary in this game? What makes you so sure so early in this game? Don't get me wrong. I don't see it either, yet but I would wait Until I reached some later levels and made some progress in this game.

However. Does anyone of you know, if you can sync your progress between devices? iPhone <> iPad?? Couldn't try it yet.

I play it on my Pod Touch 4 and it doesn't lag...

Yes you can via Asphalt Tracker. Asphalt Tracker is the Gameloft's iCloud clone lol. I've manages to sync my progress from my iPad3 to my iPad2 and iPhone4 via Asphalt Tracker. You can also manually do it by going in the Option and selecting Profile and Import Profile at the bottom right.

Weird. I am playing this on my iPhone4 5.1.1 and it is the only thing running. I am also not jailbroken.

I've seen the question asked a lot... I don't think it supports the "official" iCloud thing, but I know that, with the tracker (which you can sign in to using either facebook or a GL Live account) you can load your profile on different devices, so that should take care of that.

So yeah, make sure you sign in to the Asphalt Tracker whenever you play, and you'll be able to resume on your other device after that :)

Out of curiosity, what is your FW?

Cause I've seen posts in this thread of people where they had bad FPS even on iPad 2 or 3, but that was using FW 5.1.1... Maybe there's something with it.

I'm playing on an iPod Touch 4 with FW 4.3.5 here and it runs just fine. I was wary of upgrading my FW cause I know some apps actually run *worse* on iOS 5.x.x

By knowing about two thirds of the A7 tracks: It's a solid step ahead in almost all aspects (but also some things are missing like the garage and parts of the narrator text). Although I have a bit mixed feelings, first because it needs a graphics update for iPad 3, second becauseā€¦ Hard to describe: In Asphalt 6 there was an exciting feeling of intensity and modernism, but it was clear that it can hardly be topped in such an amount once more. A valid successor anyway.

I'm still a huge A6 fan. We played it almost to death, literally. We learned almost each inch of the tracks by heart. It's still one of the hugest challenges in my gamer's life to beat the others. We are all almost equally skilled, there is a difference of merely 0.05 seconds after three rounds sometimes.

I know. Those are hard decisions. Any power gamer knows about that pain. Try to keep Crazy Hedgy there should be a huge update soon.

Same here. I have it on three iOS devices.

When you were/are so mad about A6 as my friends are and I am, awp69: Yes.

I'm playing mine on an iPod Touch 4 with 5.1.1 (not jailbroken). I wouldn't say it lags, but rarely it's a little choppy in the middle of the game (it lags for 1-3 second(s)) I've rebooted my iPod and closed background apps and it seems to run much smoother.

Gameloft needs to find a way to decrease their file size in their apps.

Okay, I'm currently on cup 7, and the difficulty of the AI noticeably increasing, leaving little leeway for mistakes. I love it :D

Update: I tried restarting my iPhone4 and tried the game again.. Lag seems to be gone. I am now playing the game smoothly on my iphone4 5.1.1 (non-jb). Restarting really works.
