I don't get such love for A7. It's a fine game, but not to the point that someone would boldly calls it "the best game of all time".

Yep, Hanuku isn't responding though. In other news, this title remains free for the week.

    I agree.

After literally completing the campaign, I can declare that the game isn't anything special. Sure, the 13 cups were a blast to go through, but there is nothing to do after completing the cups (yes, that takes upwards to 10+ hours). In quick play mode, it is too easy to win any race with fully upgraded cars. In fact, tier 7, fully upgraded cars can be extremely frustrating to use. Before I get on to that, the first point is your advantage over the Al cars. Whist you are in adrenaline mode (you'll be in it A LOT later on), you can wreck cars with any form of contact. They can't. A lot of the cars feel the same, and I hate the unrealistic physics and the wrecking system. Driving the Bugatti Veyron (arguably the best car in the game) it is painfully hard to maneuver. Plus, on most maps you (from a completed game perspective) are always in adrenaline mode, and the bar itself is filled up so quickly that let's say for example, with a Tesla Roadster in the Los Angeles or Alps map, you can literally spend 85% of the race in adrenaline mode!

Now, the multiplayer. If you ask me to be honest, it is incredibly unbalanced, and newer players race at less than HALF the speed of veterans of A7. The adrenaline system also makes it extremely unsatisfying to play and as I said earlier, you're looking at players diving the Lamboughini Sesto Elemento or Ferrari FF which are nightmares in maps such as Paris and London due to their frightening unrealistic speeds which makes corners a legitimate wrecking threat, even if you hav mastered he drift, which brings us to the next point; at such speeds collisions (even soft) of any sort can get you wrecked.

I know this is an arcade racer, and while the campaign should not be missed out on, the higher end of the game needs serious balancing fixes. You drive T7 cars at an average of upwards to ~510kph for the whole race, this is ridiculous even for an arcade racer. More so, spending all your time in adrenaline is not as satisfying as it seems; it removes the tatical approach of using your nitro wisely.

All rants disregarded, the maps and cars are gorgeous, and I love the iap system. It is optional and in fact I would recommend you not purchase anything as it ruins the sense of progression :l

Ah ah ah, Bugatti is good, but the FFX Evo in terms of boost effiency and nitro speed is better. Y'know in multiplayer, it's the one with boost that wins. Tesla has the best nitro effiency in the game. I hope A:8 will be like this, but have physics as well.

Oh yess, I have not used that much as I didn't complete Cup 13 until very late on :p

From memory though, I could tear with Bugatti, and managed to outpace several FFX evo's in Alps :)

Y'know the map I hated the most? The London one. I was once able to do it flawlessly, but when it was my early days, I dreaded that map. Now if I play I keep hitting walls and stuff, I play like a drunk driver now :p

As said before: The outstanding feature of the Asphalt series is the local multiplayer. This is the essential feature why we call it the best video game of all times. Try the hassle-free setup (20 sec w/o any cable, 99,9% stable via WiFi for HOURS) with any console racer game (let alone mobile gaming in trains, planes, houseboats, alpine cabins)… Try local mp with the A7 Android version… No way!

Asphalt 7: Heat is the best racing game for iOS. If you don't believe me—ask Connector. Accurate local multiplayer via Bluetooth or WiFi is one of the best features of iOS (and makes classic consoles look really old). Combined Asphalt 7: Heat (for iOS) & local mp is the best video game of all times. And Asphalt 8 will be even better with the latest HDMI technology.

And before I'm going to argue those facts with you… You know: Friends are waiting for the next A7 race. Today: Paris with Ferrari FF. :D

By the way Sambo, in Britain, cars drive on the left side of the road. This is a change from other maps so yeah, stick to the left side for London or face frequent annoying cars coming your way.
Also, Gameloft seemed to purposely program cars to drive in your direction once you reach a certain interval in the map, so keep an eye out for that. It's also best to avoid cars altogether as even hitting one driving in the same direction can lower your speed by ~40%
