Didn't mean to come off as a jerk. Just from a competitive standpoint and a fun standpoint I don't see the advantages of having 4 player matches lol. It'll take lots longer, much easier to coordinate 2 player matches then four. And much more luck is involved. just my opinion.
Hmmm, looks like you went ahead and did get rid of the newbies. Maybe I will reach that mythical "20 posts= solid forum member" level by the time of the next tourney. Although, do I really want to spend time on a forum where if i don't make a ton of inane 1 word posts like "cool!" and "sweet!" in order to build up my post count, it means I'm not a solid member? Oh well, I'll probably just continue to lurk, and let my dreams of ascension tourney glory fade away.
I keep hoping to throw my hat into the ring, but I can't play online and have no good reason why... Today I noticed I had put off iOS4.3.3, and there was a glimmer of hope... Trying after the upgrade on the WiFi here at work netted me a "Could not connect to server" which was new and exciting - ran across the street and tried the less-restive WiFi over there and was back to the "connecting to server" -> CRASH. Crash files look like this, as soon as I get word back from them I'll try sending some their way. Got word back about the crash - there's a crash bug that occurs I'f you have more than 80 GC friends. So either I have to make a new GC ID to play, or ax 35 of my friends...

Actually we're only at 15 members cause one member entered twice . Ah well. So one more and I'll have everything good to go. Edit: Got everything written up all that I'm waiting for is one more member!!!
What's the status on the tournament? Will we have fixtures and stuff up soon if people are confirmed?
