Yes that was an incredible game tension-wise, I honestly had no idea who was gong to win in those last couple of rounds So far I'm batting around .500 win as often as I lose. Starting to get the hang of planning a strategy based on the board instead of grabbing whatever the most expensive card happens to be. My early game favorites are the Temple Librarian and the Sensai(?) card that allows you to banish a card and replace it with a Mystic or Heavy. Anyone want to hit me up for a game I'm Emos on GC. Ive moved past the novice stage (in my eyes at least) but not an expert yet
Don't be so hard for yourself griffin, some times to come back from behind and win by 5 or less points is very good effort too!
Haha you've been unlucky the last few games. Lost a few games by no points. Just keep trying and you'll get better (and avoid Druids of the Stone Circle!)
Yeah, I can totally empathize with you here - my current game with her, we're at 40 honor in the pool and she has a set of 6 constructs, killing all monsters and buying all the high rune cards.
Just lose another game to Camzy, by < 30 I guess that is an achievement some sort. Guess it has something to do with the sustainial amount of table points loss in the last 5 turns as I fail to maintain a 30+ points lead.
That was a pretty one-sided hand. I got lucky early on. What's everyone's highest score in a game? I just got 117 with a record of 125.
i believe i got almost 150 in a game once (i could be mistaken but I couldve sworn it was around that...it was a 2 player game, i had a bunch a bunch of constructs, I actually think i had over 89 cards). I know i've hit 130 for sure.
Camzy, I took a screenshot of the last game, I do not have a brag personality, but it helps me to go on, in spite the fact that I lost 30+ right before...
Haha! Good game, you played well. I find as with most things, people play better when they're in winning positions than in losing positions. Tactically, I still see you make a few mistakes in card play order. Playing Lycanthrope before lifebound cards, not activating certain construct abilities etc.
Good game @Celeric. I'll just consider losing to you only by 20 points a good thing I will have to leave work now, so my play time will be very spotty so I'll take my turns when I can!
I have spent my first day of holiday vacation getting my head bashed in repeatedly by Camzy. Like a glutton for punishment, I keep hitting the rematch button.
Haha I thought it'd be fun just to try. Play your turn, forget until the prompt comes up again. The new cards would make it a very interesting dynamic. I'm playing with celeric, tecwrtr and a random.
just managed to finished 3 players game, starting last but finished 1st. It's still very hard to grasp the strategy around these. But 3 players should be still manageable.
Four-player Ascension is not to be taken seriously. It can be fun, no doubt. But there's very little skill to it.
Wow! I'm not sure if I've been playing anyone here from Touch Arcade, although I'm sure I have at least once. My average is 40/60, wins to losses. I'm still trying to understand the deck flow and strategies based on the center row. I'm winning against the AI about the same amount on the difficult setting. I freaking love this game! Thanks so much for all the tips in the forums everyone. I hope to challenge some of you soon. Merry Xmas to all. My name is "slimtrimkid," in game. See you online buds.
