Can someone confirm something for me? There are a couple of dodgy reviews on the UK App store for users who have installed the expansion. One person is saying he can't select any cards and another is saying the touch controls have become really bad and only certain parts of the screen register touch. There is also a mention about glitchy text graphics on some of the letter tails. Personally I smell a Jailbreak but can someone confirm this?
Great to see that the expansion is finally out. I'm still waiting for a sale though I'm just not that big a fan of card games to get it at full price.
This is a known issue that we believe only occurs on iPod Touch 2G. We're working on a solution now and we should have an update ready shortly.
I can see all my contacts in the game including you and the rest of the people who I normally play with. Haven't encounter any glitches yet too. Maybe I am lucky..

How many Game Center friends do you have? And do you know about how many of them would appear in our invite list? Just to be clear, you can create games with open slots, but you aren't able to invite your friends to a game, right?
Excellent update Thanks folks for this excellent update -> love it !! but please add the option to switch to the previous background music I prefer it much over the new one and was somehow like a signature sound for this game
This is my problem too. I have well over 100+ GC friends and had about 15 or so that used to show up in my Ascension list (within the game). Now I see nothing but <Open> I also cannot connect to the server on my first attempt. I can only connect after a failed attempt.
Ascension fair priced at 5 bucks, trust me on this. I think is totally fair with the quality of the game. You are going to play this game over and over for the next months to come!
Ahh, maybe that's why our game disappeared. Was wondering about that. I myself am not having the problem, but it only takes one side I guess. Love the new expansion - lots of cool new cards, art, music, etc. I really wish fast app switching and chat were included though. I also had a few hangups after buying the expansion. Had to restart my phone, and even then it took a couple relaunches to get everything working properly (at first the expansion changes like title screen, etc. didn't take and connecting to the server didn't work), but game is working ok now. One other thing - now that there are player clocks, the turn notifications really need to be working 100%, and they're not. Just this morning an opponent took a turn, and I didn't get a notification.
I reall missed the game, I mean playing for real ... Having 8 games in parallel now! These new cards are fantastic!
To each his own, but you are really doing yourself a disservice by waiting for a sale on Ascension. It is easily one of the best board game/card game adaptations that have been done for the Iphone. And it's in my top 5 most played apps of all time. Since buying the game the day it was released, I have played over 550 online games. I'm no math major, but I think that translates to less than one penny per game.
My situation exactly. 1. Eight screens of GC friends are now gone. I cannot create a game. 2. I can never connect on the first attempt. Never. But I always get through on the second attempt. Come on, GG, how about a response here? It's clear now that these aren't isolated issues.
I was really glad to see the update and expansion on the app store this morning. My wife and I play the physical game of both the original and ROTF fairly often, and now playing both decks are that much more convenient. This may be personal opinion, but I enjoy the ROTF expansion much more than the base game. And now that the update gives me some win/loss stats, I can finally see how bad I really am Great update, and great price for the expansion. If you're holding out on purchasing Ascension for a sale, don't worry about it - it's a great value and one of the best ways to spend $8 on the App Store.
