Well, I think this is the best place to spread the word. None of my RL friends play - the people I play with are all TA members who are probably on this thread. There was another guy who was running some Ascension tournaments using TA and boardgamegeek.com, but not sure what happened to them. They seemed to go well (though I never got in any - kept missing them). I think having an actual tournament organization site to run it though is a good idea.
Thanks! I like Challonge and it looks very easy to use and navigate. As for getting more people I just hope folks will see the link in my signature as that is where i'd like to leave it so that I dont violate any rules anywhere else on the boards.
Developers, if you are reading this: 2 games by griffin611 with Delerium and aaronius80 are locked as the game list show they are my turns but I cannot play. Please check and fix, thanks (or better send us your email)
Ugh, got another game that's stuck - it says it's my turn, but I can't do anything. What's going on? I would guess it's Game Center rather than Ascension, but not sure.
I am experiencing several problems with no notification of my turn. In 4 of my ongoing games I thought no one had taken a turn for over a day, even the game list didnt show it was my turn. Great game, but this is a bit annoying! I apoligise to anyone if they thought I had abandoned a game without forfeit, I was just unaware that it was my turn#
The expansion is nearing completion and should be in final testing (hopefully out by Christmas) The devs also said they will have to take the servers offline for a while to get them ready. I hope we keep our games through the change but it'll be worth it even if they can't save games that are in progress
We're looking into the stuck game issue. I believe it is similar to Completed Games lingering after you dismiss them. This should be fixed with the update, but even if it isn't we'll be much better equipped to track it down. Please don't delete these games yet. When you load the game, does the in-game screen show that it's your opponents turn? They may be able to play, even if the Game List doesn't show it as their turn. We think we'll be able to preserve all games in progress through the update. Thanks for your patience.
Doesn't really need multi-tasking though. Nice. You guys have one incredible game on your hands. Best iOS game, IMO.
well it depends on ur definition of need. As it is now, u have to go through multiple menu screens each time u want to make ur move. If ur playing every 10 min, that gets tedious (and probably uses up more battery power too).
Another one hit me with the game "griffin611" vs "desuki" . It says it is my turn but I cannot do anything. Please have it fixed. Any note on pricing of the expansion? I guess other people would love to know. BTW, every time I switch to the app, the initial launch screen shows, that is not very "multi-tasking"...
My IGN is desuki. Yes i encountered that, also vs Cprloe. In gamelist, the arrow pointed to me but my name was in white color, means i cant play at all. That wad why i forfeited the game n created new one. Really want to have the expansion out cos i like the game so much
Waiting for the expansion to come out before I buy the base game. Nothing like buying the complete package to kick start a gaming session.
You should buy the game now, though. You might as well buy the base game and learn that and pick up the expansion when it arrives. You'll be somewhat overwhelmed and at a disadvantage otherwise. Plus, I don't think you would be saving any money.
I concurr with Soldat7 that you should buy the game, run the tutorial, learn all the cards while having fun with the AI while waiting for the expansion to descend. The current game is complete as is, as an addict who plays with 9+ others (async) per day, I can say it is the good time to join in.
