    I just got it.

Good game - thought you had me with all those Mechana constructs!

Is it just me or is te computer AI set to the second difficulty level (no 3rd at the moment) crazy good. I don't think I even average a 50% win rate. I think if they ever bring in that third AI difficulty it will frustrate some people.
Still it's definitely a good thing to have worthy AI competition

The developer seems never show up here (and this is the first game I find this acceptable, strange) so I have no idea how it works.

But you are not alone to find it better and better (at random), but I suspect it learns from playing against you, or, there is a server serving as a gigantic knowledge base for AI moves which the apps secretly updates itself while online. Frankly, I don't know why. Yesterday, I got beaten with 30+ loss. Shame.

Has anyone beaten Camzeee consistently? I get owned by him every single time!

The 2 good articles I see on BCG are written by Alex Brown. There's an Alex Brown (who goes by Ulyzed) in Duke's fall tournament thread.
    - Tempo
    - Managing the centre row

Were you referring to any other article?

    See above.

They're pretty much the only strategy articles at BGG, which is kind of surprising to me.

The latter. For is touches on important elements and reflects my changed view on some cards influence in the game.

I'm not beating anyone lately ... I seem to have somehow gotten worse at this game. But I've had my moments in the past ...

Nope, I have just lost by 9 points while you go first (kinda irrelevant, I know). If you say win less than 10 is no-win, well, I am in. :)

    Any challenge sent!

Thanks for the links above and they are good read! I know some but it is kinda hard not to lay your eyes on those shiny central row cards...

I too was once afraid of the great Camzee. When I posted that very thing in this thread, Camzee's response was to start a game with me. :)

We have had a dozen plus matches. I think he has beaten me the majority of the time (again, we need stat tracking), but I have held my own.

Aaronius and Celeric seem to be the ones that I have the most trouble against. It also doesn't help when you have a million games going at the same time, all asnyc.

Luckily he missed this post ;-)
In general I am having fun in most games. Many are so close!!! But I admit that in sync with kids sleeping is when I play much better, without mixing things.

If you want to know what hopelessness is without going NDE, try a 4-way games against TheDukester, Camzeee and FPE. I am on turn 6 and I can already see how badly it goes...

    Shoulda run a after-action report.

curry .... in my previous 4-way with camzee .... he just destroyed the game!!! Since then I have learnt something. But I am still unsure I like 4-way games.

4-player games are fun when played live, not so much fun async. Same with 3 player games, though they are more tolerable async then 4 player games are. Trying to review what everyone has done (and even just watching the async turns play out) starts to feel like work. A lot like work in a 4 player game. It doesn't feel like work at all when you are seeing the turns play out live, and there's less need for reviewing as well. Only when you missed something that happened. For async play I mostly just enjoy 2 player games.

All 4way games I had and have are super async. A week long avg it gets boring.

Four players is probably great FTF, when you can laugh and joke and get the game played in under an hour.

Asynch, though? They're hard to take seriously. I usually mess around and try goofy strategies, just for fun. Within two turns, I've completely forgotten what cards have been taken, so I don't really see the need to worry about it too much.
