You mean async gaming? I want it in puerto rico, I want async online coop in ghost stories, ticket to ride, .... Honestly I am enjoying so much Ghost Stories lately that I am a but slacking in Ascension.
Ya I really hope async multiplayer will be introduced on Neuroshima Hex after iOS5 is out. That game really screams for multiplayer.
The NH guys have had multiplayer on their list since the beginning. Now that the first expansion armies are out and stable, MP should be in the next big update.
LOL at our four-player game. Did any of you other guys not have the slightest idea of what your strategy was from a few days ago? I couldn't even remember from turn to turn; I'm wondering if four players taking asynchronous turns might be just a little much.
I even did nt have an idea it was finished!! These 4 way games are weird still to me.they end all of a sudden
Ok, this is weird. I just played a turn and my honours were given to my opponent ..... Dd the ghosts escape my copy of ghost stories or what?!
I struggle to keep track of even 3 player games when played asynch. I really only enjoy 2 player games played that way. Now, played live it's a completely different story. I have certainly enjoyed 3 player random opponent games as they are almost always live, at least I've had good luck with that. As far as games ending suddenly - the game ends after the honor point pool is exhausted AND the player who went last on the first turn has played - that player's icon is hilighted with a white border throughout the game.
Yeah, the 4 player game was definitely hard to follow. Completely forgot my strategy entirely and didn't feel like I even had enough turns to collect any strong cards for that matter. Fun to say I've tried a 4 player match all the less, so thanks guys. I agree that mainly 2 player and sometimes 3 player matches are far more fun to play. OFF TOPIC: It's gonna be a dream become true the day we're blessed with async mp for Neuroshima Hex(including the possibly of 4 player async matches). I hope they continue with expansions as well from there on end because I absolutely love the different factions...
3-player game is hard to track also....I would just see what my hand and the central row have to offer, then I play accordingly. Short-sighted and I cannot say it works exceedingly well for now. I wish every gorram boardgame for iPad has async. But if it has pass-n-play and/or fun AI, I can live for it for-the-time-being. Some developers say they can put in async when iOS5 arrives, well if the rumor is true then the new version of iOS is just around the corner. I love chat function, even I use it sparingly now on Words With "Friends" -- haha: Look! I just take that "draw-3-cards" thingy from your hand! or Curse you! There are no more monsters to kick your 7 constructs away...and it goes on. In short, I agree every gorram thing you guys say between this and my previous post...
I've got a few 4 player games going. It's certainly interesting. I've won all of the ones I've played so far, 3 or so. But I feel it's much more luck based. A lot of the tactical value is in banishing cards and controlling the central row, and when you're playing 4 player, you just can't control the board.
Is anyone else having trouble connecting to the server to play online? It seems like a Sunday night thing...
Add on Return of the Fallen comes FALL ! nice one a reason to stay with this Game. http://www.ascensiongame.com/board/topic?f=9&t=1679
Pass-n-play MP? Great news! Note: I played this all Sunday afternoon on the couch while watching House S4 DVD. My wifie and I start to think I am having a problem...
I play all night with my new born in my arms sleeping .... But time shared with ghost stories. My entire family think I am nuts, not just my wife
Sigh, I got creamed in the multiplayer game Of 4 people. Going last, is there any luck factor involved? LOL
Disclaimer! I was always available when daughter was in needs, as my helper was on leave on Sundays. The first 4-play was fun but a bit confusing. The result seems to be normal -- the player gets the most on-table honors wins.
Good first match, Dukester. As I mentioned in my PM, that was my first effort at playing online multiplayer, except for playing a few games against my son. I'm sure I made a least a few wrong moves. I have games going with several of you and I am having a blast! I am always up for new opponents if any of you feel like beating up on a newbie. I am "cprloe" on GC. Hit me up with a friend request and then a game request.
Nah, I think we had one of those rare semi-dull Ascension games. The center row was just too costly for both of us, and the entire middle game just bogged down,.
wow, good game cprloe - I was so sure I was going to win, being almost 20 points ahead. I missed the fact that you got all those constructs.
