They must have done something to the server, everything is real snappy now, I'm not getting disconnected and I am getting notifications and more importantly, my friends list populates so I can send out invites! Played a lot of Ascension last night.
I've noticed that spinning triangle and wondered what it meant! But it seems to always be spinning, even when I don't have a move to play. Perhaps I'm wrong about that, though. I will certainly check again. Incidentally, I sent an email to the devs when the server troubles were happening, noting that some had said there was a server meltdown. They told me that the rumors weren't true. There was no server collapse due to demand, but yes they had been having server problems and they had fixed them. After that I tried the game and it was indeed finally working.
Nope. When you have a move, it appears. Btw, Kitkeat, you have to manually banish the Tablet for its effect to kick in. Banishing through a Void unit or by discarding through the Tyrant won't make it's effect usable.
Camzee, I made the stupid mistake.. u know, there's this dragon who forces u to choose 1 construct u want to keep, there's the spider that forces u to choose 1 to discard. i played too fast... and nailed the tablet... but anyway, i deserved it.. good game.. be playing u shortly..
Thanks for the info on the Tablet. So you you can banish it manually at any time and indeed need to do that? I thought you had to banish it with another card. I've actually never had the Tablet yet, in part because I wasn't sure how it worked. I think the game could do a better job of explaining the rules (why not detailed play info in the card gallery?) and the UI. Oh well.
Crunc, anytime u put down the tablet on the side as a construct in play, you will see the white circle highlighting the thing. double tap it to make it large and select use... it will discard the thing and when u press end turn, u will immediately gain another turn
You should get it. It's a construct. You get it on your turn and it just sits there until you banish it. Discarding it or banishing it when it's in your hand or through a monster discard won't activate its effect. I won the match against you probably because of it. Gave me an extra turn to take down the avatar.
light version removed. Anybody know why "Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer Lite" has been removed from the App Store?
I don't know why the lite version was removed, but if you like deck building games like Dominion or 7 Wonders (which are *not* collectible card games - here everyone works from the same pool of cards and builds their deck as the game progresses), you will most likely like this game. It's awesome.
They should take it down and keep it down. Not only is the game well worth the small up-front cost, but actual dollars flowing into the coffers will help the developers release more expansions and IAP content sooner.

Hello, that was me. Don't worry about it. It was a great, and close game and take your time and we can always play later on.
what could make the game more appealing is the possibility to set the honor pool manually and maybe increase the number of opened cards, because some games are too random or too short.
A creamed kitkeat Never get Druids of the Stone Circle as one of your early units. It slows down your entire game.
really? i've always thought that it's a good card to acquire free mystics or at least heavy infantry. no? hmmmm.. puzzles me.. thanks Camzy... i want more games to recoup... can't believe i've lost all 3 games so bad.... im old....
