The good: - Arts and some old cards are redesigned to give crisper looks - Chat in-game and in lobby The bad - crashes to desktop some time, especially when I left the game in the game list page and reenter - do not register very well when dragging cultist to void - when a card/event leads me to discard, the game frezzes, need to quit and re-enter - there can now be only one offgame game at a time. The ugly - card transformation animation is really bad - no tutorial for the new mechanism (old hands need not apply) - the menu graphics
Update with a new promo pack #6. I can see the new cards but there doesn’t seem to be a way to purchase it though. Bugged? Edit: nvm it’s available for purchase now
New update forces you to create an Asmodee account. My old username of 7+ years was already taken, so had to change it slightly. Feels bad man. On the other hand, new expansion! We finally get a mechana construct that costs 9 runes. Can't wait to play it.
I forget the Playdek account password and there is no way to recover nor link to the Asmodee account! Worse, if I choose I have Asmodee account only, I login to my Asmodee account but it fails to link to the Playdek account! All the games and stats are lost! Damn! Edit: I find a solution: use Fluxx to reset the Playdek account and login to both and volia, it is linked!
I’m having the same problem. It asked me if i wanted to merge my playdek and asmodee account a few days ago and now it’s broken
So now that Assmodee have dropped support for the app, i wonder if Playdek will pick it back up or if it will become abandonware.
If you look in the appstore they are no longer the publisher of the app, and they dropped a ton of games they were publishing, like mr jack pocket, abalone and loads of others, some returned to the original publishers/developers and some were just removed from the appstore, like doble and mille bornes to name a few.
Hmmm... shame if that is the case. I feel it all went very pear shaped after Asmodee got bought out I expect zero consideration from them now.
Man I think I’ve missed all of this. So when did Asmodee get bought out and by who!? Up until like the last 6 months I swear they were pumping out digital board games at a rate. Not the top most of quality, but decent, and better than nothing that’s for sure.
Originally bought out by equity firm in 2014, but bought by another in 2018. The quality went in 2018 IMO, and the churning out picked up pace.
They've added a 10th anniversary edition of the original set of cards for free. Create a new game and you'll be able to select it.
