Dawn of Champions is out, by the way. We should see it hit iOS soon, methinks. Early impressions are seem positive. (On another Ascension-related note: my roomate returned from an RPG/board game convention earlier today, and surprised me by giving me the new Year One's Collector's Edition of Ascension as an early birthday gift. And I must say that the new exclusive card artwork and promos would make excellent unlockables in the iOS app, for achievements, ELO ratings, milestones, etc. It would offer up an element of progression that does not affect gameplay. Much like Star Realms does, but in a more satisfying way.)
I played my first game of it yesterday. I definitely like the champion mechanic, but I don't think the game is well balanced in its own. I think it would work great with another expansion. The Rally mechanic can be devastating when you have your champion fully powered, especially with the multifactioned cards. There are also far fewer monsters in this set.
Sadly running into the usual bug of unable to play the new expansion online. Another email sent to Playdek and wait 1-2 weeks for response...
Does the expansion have the champions? Or just the rally mechanic? Given the price, I would hope it has both, but the champions weren't mentioned in the description.
Anyone else having a problem joining an online game. I have purchased every expansion but when I try to join it sends me to the in App Store.
While it might not help, as I too am getting crashes on previous games, I'm going to quit out of all of my current games and start fresh. As most of my opponents I've met here, please know it is nothing personal, I'm quitting all of my ongoing games. UPDATE: Wait, I can't do that can I? You need to load a game to resign it, right? If merely loading a game crashes it, I'm SOL.

No crashes for me on the old games. Most of the artwork in this set is not by Sabee... his artwork was half my reason for playing this game! The game crashes if you're viewing the opponent's champion card while he/she is taking their turn. Also, there is an invisible "show transform" button on the champions card.
The rally mechanic might be the worst mechanic added to the game yet, even worse than energy. And the champions are just sort of there, worse than events.
Whenever I try to join a random game from the "Find Games" page I'm redirected to the iAP store despite owning every single expansion
New Plan. Forget Lord Gek Alt, I've returned to Lord Gek but will just not play until patched. Hope to crush you all again ASAP!
