Very cool, but I'm a bit confused about the Playdek account creation. Will we be able to do that within Ascension? It sounds like we will (since it says be sure you're already logged in with GC). I played the IH expansion a month or two ago - it's pretty similar to SoS, but it has those one-time use versions of some older cards. Interesting, but not a huge game changer. Nevertheless, I'll definitely be getting it.

Try logging in with Agricola email/password first. There's a good chance that your Agricola account is already linked to your Ascension player records.
You'll create your account from within the Ascension app. Tap Play Online and the process should be straightforward from there. Once to create your account, we'll send you an email with a link to activate your account. Once activated, you can log in with email and password. If you check the Remember Password box when yo login, the app will automatically log you in whenever you launch it.

The "old no account method" used your Game Center ID to identify you on our servers. We originally had a password login for Ascension before it launched, but switched to using Game Center because it was a convenience to the user, and it made implementation much easier on our end. But now that is limiting some of the features we want to add. The obvious one is cross platform play. The second is that we won't have to wait for GC authentication every time you launch the app (measure the time it takes to launch Agricola from a push notification to how long it takes in SW - there's a noticeable difference). We'll also be able to allow access to your account information through some means other than a Game Center enabled app (from any browser, for example). Most of these features are still being tested internally, but they are coming, so it might be awhile before the advantage are apparent. We felt that Agricola was a big launch for us, and since we'd decided we needed to make the switch, it was the right time to do it, and now all of our other games will be updated to match.
For those curious, here is what you can expect from Immortal Heroes: Put succinctly, better handling of events, ongoing trophies, and a bunch of cards with the new Soul Gem mechanic. These Soul Gems are too fun, they're basically random one time instants played as soon as they're earned from the Soul Gem deck. All of these Soul Gems effects are based on previous cards from the series.
How long until the new cards are out? I neeeeeeeed them this is easily my most played iOS game as I've been playing it since I got my iPod 4g and now still play it on iPad over 2years later.

anyone know is still ascension (playdek) version is going to get pulled once the other f2p version is out? i would love to buy inmortal heroes but if is going to get pulled in the future .......
