Ah JCMan7... You need to be picking up the center row cards. There's a reason they're there! You not picking up Reactor Monk in the first 3 turns cost you that entire game. All the constructs popped up and I was always first to nab'em. Choices in this game (unless it's druids or the ineffective low cost heroes) are almost always between WHICH cards to pick in the center. Grand Design or Umbral Edge? Reactor Monk or Canopic Jar? But in almost all cases, the best card/play is in the center row.
lol ive played a long time but by far am not an expert like you. I try not to pickup cards in the center row to prevent the other player from getting constructs or defeating high power monsters if I had picked up a card and one would happen to appear. It works sometimes but then other times it backfires. Not to mention we were playing at 1am my time so im not the greatest thinker at that time lol
I just ran into an interesting combination of cards that did not play out as I had expected. I played Adayu to hit Tarik, who in turn copied Twofold Askara. Here my plan was to copy Adayu with the Askara, but the game did not allow me. The text on Twofold Askara says to copy the effect of any hero played this turn, and while the incomplete resolution of Tarik stemmed from Adayu, Adayu himself was already resolved in the stack and should have been available for copy. At least that's the way I see it. What do you guys think?
Does anybody have backed the Ascension's kickstarter ? I have to choose a card's art for my signed Sabee print... I really don't know which card's art i will choose...

I backed the KS as well, and talked about it quite a bit on te AscensionGame forums and a little bit here and elsewhere. Im nowhere at the tier that you are though lol, I'm at the digital $10 tier, expecting it to pay for the expansions for PC and Android. Great project overall.
With just a quick skim, I would say that I would completely agree with you! My brain is a bit fried at the moment though haha. I think you should pose the question on their official Facebook or the rules section on their official forums. They'll usually reply on rules question like that. Im curious to know as well if it's following the rules or if it's a programming bug. Never ha the chance nor rea about using Trickster on Twofold yet!
JCman, I am flattered but I dont think that was the case at all! Hahaha. Those were two intense games! My brain is too fried after the games to give any summaries, but I'll say that Game 2 was a poo-poo strategy on my part that I really hate in the game, the all Infantry, no Mystics strategy. Only did so because of all the factors: deck, opening hands, center row cards... I think that using all 3 decks seems to be the case where this strategy gets abused the most often, and so thats why Im not a fan of playing all 3 decks. Guys, for the playoffs, are we sticking with all 3 decks? If we can get near unanimous support, I'd be in favour of changing to SoS, or RotF + SoS. Yes the first game was very intense I must say I was pretty disappointed I lost, I've had too many close games go against me in this tourney lol. The second game there were so many monsters and I made a dumb move not to get infantry cards at the start, I'm with you I dislike those types of games. I also agree I'm not a big fan of playing all three decks I vote to change it next time!
Hey I was absolutely lucky to pick up Adayu. The way te game went, that would have gone your way too and itd have been a rout. You had a great opening two rounds in Game 2, I thought. I knew I was already far behind but the center row stayed pure monsters after your two rounds, absolutely unlucky for you. I hope you are looking forward to the interforum tourney! And we have our friendly game now lol.
Last post from me today guys, we are goin to a 3-5 man playoffs after Round 4, depending on how the final standings look like! And when Round 4 is done, I think we can start the interfoum tourney! I promise it'll be rly fun and the timelines will be more relaxed because we dont have anything after waiting. Take care all.

The rules allow it, and are technically programmed correctly. The bug is in the interface. Because Adayu is still in the process of resolving, it doesn't appear in the played card area, so there's no card for you to drag onto Twofold Askara to choose as the copy. I cleaned this up a bit when I implemented Askara of Fortune (which isn't allowed to choose Twofold Askara if it is revealed since that would create an infinite loop), so I'll double check that this gets corrected for the next update.
