Oh boy... well, I'm glad to have more options these days. Eventually we will get Smash Up as well for light fun.
No; or yes, just not how you might think. If a game's notifications come throu the Game Center app (like Ticket to Ride Pocket, lost cities, letterpress) then it's using Game Center servers. In the case of games like Ascension, Carcassonne, and Nueroshima Hex, the developers have their own servers (to maintain a higher quality of service) and use Game Center as a sort of auto login. Nueroshima Hex is currently cross platform so it's entirely possible that Playdek could make it cross platform or that they turn over the server duties to Stone Blade and let them handle the servers in-house.
Guys, visit the pocket tactics site again for some updates. Looks like its not as bad as some are thinking. Sounds like ios will be untouched.
One thing, @ipadisgreat, Stone Blade is just the new name for Gary Games. It's not a new contractor or anything, it's Justin Gary and Brian Kibler. Also, I recently found that Incinerator Studios is just the old name for Playdek, I think.
Man. Took 3 updates / clarifications to reach that point. Do people think this was a genuine miscommunication or do people believe that they misread the iOS player-base?
The cynical part of me says they they were thinking of abandoning the PlayDek version to go completely in house but changed their minds after the threat of being tarred and feathered
My take is more on the side of "news outlets misread company's statement, spin it in a way to get traffic, clarifies situation, comes out on top". By all means, I love PocketTactics, they're doing a great job, it isn't a complaint directed at them specifically, but more an acceptance of how the internet as a whole seems to work. Nothing in their statement suggested they were going to stop supporting the existing iOS release, but spreading that kind of plausible fear does get attention - and, of course, helps clarify what the company's real intentions are, since they didn't make it clear. All is well when it ends well.
I'm glad that we will be able to play vs. Android. I have friends with Android phones, so that is great! I'll probably back the kickstarter for the PC/Mac version.
This is a tad sacrilegious (or maybe a lot but I kind of wish we were getting the Stone Blade app too. I mean I think Playdek has done a great job with their games, but they still haven't added some basic features like chat, notifications going straight to the game in question, etc. Maybe I wouldn't mind seeing what Stone Blade would do with this....
Good second game, currymutton, well played and well deserved that win! Looking forward to the outcome of the 3rd match
Thanks for the update guys! Think you guys can finish the game by tomorrow? Would be great to start the next round on the weekend~
Great game currymutton, the last one was a close one. If I recall correctly, he won 2 and I won 1, so we're ready to move on to the next round from our part. Cheers, have a good weekend. Paulo
hey guys, Round 2 is up! Sry, out all day. Artfoundry, could you post the matchups here too if you could? I can later at night. Good luck all!

That's something we should decide earlier on.
Honestly, I'd prefer to play with as many decks as possible. Makes the game more interesting. Also, we set the precedent in Round 1 to use CotG, RotF and SoS in, so I'd say stick with those 3.
