ok, i read back 10 pages and didn't see it mentioned, so i'm gonna go ahead and ask... i bought this because it seemed like everyone was saying 'you're dumb if you don't' (the peer pressure!), and i see it's universal. are the expansions tied to the device, or your itunes account? i'd like to play on the train or at work on my phone, but i'd prefer playing on my ipad when at home. will i need to purchase the expansions on each device, or will they download automatically? thanks. edit: i think samurai bloodshow is like this, which has deterred my from buying it. that's why i'm asking.
Expansions are tied to your account, so you can play on both devices without having to pay twice. Your current games are also on the server so you can just continue any online game from either device.
Well, it is okay. You will be missed. I have started my SW multiplayer adventure also, and I am playing only a handful with the PE clan for the time being. Still Ascension is my major multiplayer game on iOS. See you guys around.
Hi just after a but of advice. Never played any of these type of games befor was going to get this one is it easy to pick up and do you have to play online?
i just got through the tutorial, and i have to say it's pretty fun even for someone with no experience with these kinds of games. i'm still quite confused by the game as i haven't put enough time into it, and i'm admittedly not a good strategist. that said, i'm gonna hold off on the expansions for now because i'm worried it'll make the game overwhelming for me. anyone with a mild interest in the genre should jump on this sale because it's produced quite well, and the tutorial is very detailed and helpful.
Bought the game, played the tutorial and I must say this is a steal for 0,99$. the game mechanics, if "strange", are very engaging and the game is very well done, with awesome artworks. I was wondering about the IAP : are they worth it?
If you even remotely like the game I think it is highly advisable to buy everything. ASAP if you'd like to save yourself some money. Every expansion is definitely worth it. Storm of Souls, Return of the Fallen, Promo Pack would probably be the order starting with the bestest, imo. I think SoS in particular really adds a whoooole lot to the game. The Promo Pack is not very many cards, but they are good twisty ones. Sale is on for only a couple more days. Stupid value. Do it.
What he said. I think the Promo pack is ALL ABOUT the Rat King, the coolest twist to gameplay I'd seen up to that point (but sure, after a while, it gets a little tedious to deal with for the 100th time).
after getting used to the interface, i realized you can toggle the expansions on and off when you're setting up a game. after that, getting them was a no-brainer. i've played about 8 games since buying it (still figuring out some mechanics, still playing single-player), and i definitely think i'll get into the expansions soon.
Thank you, I think I'll buy SoS and RotF. The 6-cards IAP's standard price is 0.99 right? Because I'm not sure about it, and I only have a few dollars left...
Yeah, I think it's usually a buck. Also realize that except for 2 of the cards in the Promo Pack, when you include them in a match the deck will include two of each card ... plus when Rat King comes out he drops 5 Giant Rats over the rest of the center row ... so when you play with them it ends up being a bit more than "just 6 more cards" in the mix. They're some good 'uns, too! But like I said, of all the expansions, probably still your lowest value. Edit : yeah going in and looking at the app, when you include the Promo in a match, counting multiples and each Rat individually, you add 20 cards to the game
Thank you for your answer, I'm gonna buy the 2 expansions and I'll wait before buying the promo pack, since I've only played the game less than 1h.
You'll cave soon enough After seeing Dominion and Thunderstone fall flat, I went back to Ascension to remind myself how a good game does it. And first game I played against a random online opponent, I got crushed by 30 points Need to find my groove again.
Emos, that was a depressing game - first you caused my PRIME to discard which prevented me from getting the Penumbral Edge (I still got it later, but too late to use it) to go with the Umbral Edge. Then I made a stupid mistake in the 2nd to last turn which prevented me from getting the Combustion Idol. I'd have had that game if it weren't for one or both of those. Ah well, gg nonetheless.
Yeah that was one of the more exciting games I've played in a while! Speaking of PRIME, want to pick everyone's brain...if you had a choice to grab PRIME or the Avatar of Aiyana which one would you choose and why? I choose Aiyana and I'm thinking I should have went with PRIME.
