Is anyone else not receiving notifications? I wasn't getting them on 4.3.3 and I upgraded to 5.1.1 for Magic but I'm still not getting notifications.

Hmmm I just came to post I'm not getting any push notifications but it seems I'm not alone? Wonder what's up. I haven't upgraded anything lately.

It seems like it's server issues, there's a post on Playdek's FB page.

same here pal... an issue with servers

  6. I love that I can view my multiplayer stats, (although they currently stand at a humbling 8-9 two player, 2-0 three player, and 0-1 four player.) :)

But...how do I see other players' stats? If I want to see if someone forfeits lots of games, or anything else about their multiplayer stats, I can't figure out how to do it. I've tried clicking on just about everything on the screen but nothing works.

I suspect there has been something wrong with the server these days. A couple of regulars here forfeit their games.

Still cannot get a game with IDrinkWater, GDI! Are you still around?

really liking the game but at the early stage of not really knowing if it's luck or skill determining a win :)

two things i am not sure of

i mainly play against AI at the moment but when you set the AI skill level it seems to only go to two bars out of three. is there something i need to do to unlock the third skill level.

also for someone who mainly plays offline are the add ons worthwhile or are they mainly suited to multiplayer games.

The add-ons are expansions with lots of new cards, and some new features/rules, and Storm of Souls is a complete game unto itself. You can play SoS by itself, or mixed with Return of the Fallen and/or the promo card pack. They are definitely worth it for offline as well as online.

I find it hard to play the base game now. I love how SoS has so many interactive things. I like it enough to buy the physical card game of SoS. so yea I also think it is very much worth it to get the expansions I don't know about the promo though. I really don't like it, most of the time I think those slow down gameplay and I'd much rather play without them actually. the only exception being the card: "Pathwarden" but one card is not enough o justify running into the other promos IMO.

forgot where I read about this..but sounds like they had a third difficulty but the AI was taking too long to make moves so they disabled it for now. Don't know if this is true...but I was wondering about this too when I first got it.

    Definitely.

It really mixes up the game and is a worthwhile investment if you like Ascension.

When could we create our own custom cube deck to play online? I'm tired to play with OP cards like Tablet, Everbloom, Ahra initiate and so on...

Just to let everyone know, I'll be declining the regular COTG games after I finish up the current games, as I find the SoS expansion so much more intricate and involved (plus want to make some gaming time for Magic 2013). I have no intention of abandoning Ascension though and will still be rematching on all of my SoS games.

Bit of a newb question (that may have been covered in one of the preceding 97 pages): what purpose does sending my own cards to the void ever serve? I often get cards that allow me to banish something from my own hand and it seems counterproductive since I lose honor by doing this. Is the only purpose so that I can remove some lower-value cards from my deck so better ones come more quickly, or is there something more?

(Keep in mind that this is the first and only card game (CCG or deck building) I've ever played.)

The primary purpose is to eliminate the apprentice and militia cards, which are the weakest cards in the game and have no honor value. Each game starts with 8 apprentice and 2 militia, and it's a good idea to trim those cards if at all possible.

Yep, they're actually pretty essential - the sooner you stop getting your deck clogged up by Apprentice and Militia the better.

Just a heads up that I will be taking an Ascension break for a few days after I finish my pending games. I want to set aside time for Magic, LeHavre, and Summoner Wars. I won't decline any game invitations. I just plan on letting them sit there for a few days if that's okay with our regular group of players.

Sounds fine by me, cprloe. I only have two games going myself, and that's pretty sustainable even as I try to figure out how to play MtG all over again.
