the whole game still feel a little bit overwhelming to me. Lots of new and never before seen cards popping up here and there. And tonnes of crazy possible combination, more so for the Mechana lovers... the possibilities were expanded exponentially. Speaking of which, I loved how you can increase the honor pool.. much more lengthy games. The AI however, takes a longer time to process its moves particularly in late matches. Too much options to consider maybe?
it always has been when AI has a hand > 5 cards or involves discard, it always pauses... I guess that is why it never takes the arbiter of percipile...
Seriously can't believe I've been missing out on this for so long. Just played six games today 3-3 and love it. I bought the promo pack this morning and I'm going to get the fallen tonight and then for how much I'm loving it probably the new one too. this is my new daily fix. I'm even tempted to buy the physical cards just to own them and possibly play the odd game at home.
guys, is it me or the next game button on the left seem to be harder to hit? maybe the hit box is smaller in this new version? any idea?
Something I'd like to see added is when you tap rematch, being given the option to change the decks used. Currently when you tap rematch you get the same set. It's not a big deal, but it would be more convenient to be able to switch things up if you want after tapping rematch. I haven't noticed any problems with tapping the Next Game button. I've been playing more quick (30 minute or 10 minute) games with randoms. This game is even better played quickly like that. I mean yes it's a very good asynch game, but it's still better played in one session.
No. It was added in the SoS release. I think they were saying that they find it hard to tap. I don't find that to be the case.
If you're enjoying the base game then all of the IAP is worth it IMO. Storm of Souls adds new mechanics into the game and creates more opportunity for strategy and Fallen and the Promo pack add some interesting cards into the mix.
I am stuck in a game with Camzeee. We are at the last round already and I took down Nemesis. The Reward on the card is 6 honour points as well as "Choose up to three Trophy Monsters from the Void and put them into play under your control." The Void has only 2 Trophy Monsters for me to pull from. Now I am stuck with the message "You May Acquire 1 More Trophy from the Void" but there is no more Trophy Monster from the Void. I cannot end turn too. Looks like I have to forfeit this match.
Haha Camzy, I always seem to forget who gets the last turn! I used my penultimate turn thinking it was the last
I have an inordinate number of losses by 1 or 2 honor points since this update. I think there is something wrong with it. LOL.
I picked this game up last week after I saw the buzz over here, and I'm loving it. One thing bothers me, though. Is there an easy way to know how many total Honor points you and your opponent have? I know it shows the counter on the screen for the points you obtain via banishing monsters, but is there a way to know how many Honor points are in each player's hand? Several times I thought I had won, but then when the final count came up the AI had blown me away because of all the Hero points they had in their hand.
There's a way to tell. Look at your avatar (the one next to your name). If there is a white box that glows around it, you take the last turn. If not, look to see who has it. It makes a difference Edit: Ouch I totally killed you this game even though you took Path Warden first. Need to work on deck movement. You could have gotten Soulslayer, but you chose not to for some reason, and that unit won me the match.
Nope. The game would be too easy/boring that way. Work on keeping track of how many in deck honor points you have, and gauge your opponents' too.
I don't see how I could have gotten Soulslayer, you picked it up as soon as it hit the row. I could have gotten a few other heavy cards though like 303V but you happened to have 8 runes the same turn as I did... As for deck movement, the times I've opted for Enlightened draw cards they generally just end up stuck in my deck unless I have banishing cards too. A game is only evenly matched if both/all opponents are able to get cards for slimming their deck. Otherwise it's easy for any one person to run away with the game. Even though I was able to get Arha Sensei x2 it forced me to fill my deck with Mystics and Heavy Infantry which only clogged it up. It's exhausting playing a few good matches and then coming up on this kind of a match. But then that's the risk and reward of playing something like Ascension as opposed to Magic or even Nightfall, which only limits randomness to drawing your own deck.
Actually, this is something that should be available since really, in a 7 day async match I can just list what cards the opponent bought/banished and know the total. It's just an artificial limitation if you're showing me what they banish. Some people might say that it doesn't stay loyal to the physical game if we show a running tally of deck honor, but by that same reasoning the game shouldn't just point out to me which cards are legal moves. It should show me a dialog box stating that is not a legal move, because that's how it would be in a real game with the physical set, right?
Okay, that makes sense. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing that would display that number. If all players are mentally keeping track, then that's a level playing field and works for me!
