Design is nice, and colors pop. But that‘s it. Controls feel wonky, physics are super bad (I‘m not driving on the moon, am I?), tracks are too long and rather boring. Immediately played it back to back with Rush Rally Origins, and this game, while only one tenth of Art of Rally‘s file size, is so much better in every single regard. Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 2,236 540 113 #8 Brightsiderus, Jan 18, 2024 I second it. Also, the game is always returning you back on track with 5s penalty, even if you’re away from track for like 5 meters squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #9 squarezero, Jan 18, 2024 You are not wrong, but I think the two games are trying to do different things. Art of Rally is not meant to be a realistic rally simulator — it’s more about the vibe. Which clearly doesn’t work on you . But Art of Rally is putting all emphasis on Art, none on Rally. If a racing game only cares about vibe, but not about the racing part and therefore isn‘t any fun to play, I think it fails to deliver. I find a good vid to help people who felt hard to play the game, hope it helps! I’m not a huge racing fan but I do sometimes really enjoy the odd game. But nothin has caught my attention like Horizon Chase did back when it released. But hopefully some day someone will create something comparable for me. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #13 anthony78, Jan 18, 2024 I’ve played this on console and this is actually more similar to Go Rally than the Rally Rush series. And honestly think Go Rally is the better game. Just my 2 cents. I said I prefer Go Rally over this game, Art of Rally. The Rush Rally games are better than either of these. adin, naghihimutuc, orangecan and 1 other person like this. I manually set everything to the highest setting graphics wise yet flora/tree popping is all over the place, the crowd is absent on an m1 ipad air. Honestly, I'm gutted about how this turned out. I don't feel like buying just yet, maybe it gets better in a year if the devs don't back out. I don't get why this dialed down abstract game can't run as smooth as grid or wreckfest on the same hw. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #17 orangecan, Jan 19, 2024 yep another voice to add to the chorus of disappointment… was really looking forward to this but I’m not enjoying it at all.
