I used boomstick (maxed), deathcoaster (level 4), and all three heroes (foot knight was maxed), also I spammed with horseriders
Can anyone tell me how to unlock the shopsmart achievement? My shop smart achievement is stuck at 42% and I don't see how I can make it 100%.. Based on the description, I just need to play until wave 40 to get the deathcoaster and I should be able to get the achievement already right? This is the only achievement that I'm not able to get during my multiple playthroughs to unlock all the other achievements.. Can anyone help me?
What description are you reading? "ALL upgrades unlocked." That's ALL upgrades unlocked as in you have every unit, every castle addon, and every Ash power at 100% at once. Getting that one will require an INSANE amount of grinding.
Game Impressions So, thoughts on the game: -It's fun and worth playing, so the criticisms I have are not serious detriments to the game. -Earlier skills/troops end up being worthless regardless of level (at least in my experience). A few times I felt like I wasted money upgrading troops that I ended up having no need for. I then started thinking farther ahead -- not bothering to touch certain troops I didn't see as fitting in with my strategy (I don't think I spawned Henry or cavalry a single time except from random book). -The grind is much slower after you beat it. Knowing this, I would have probably used level 50 to earn money and wait to beat it until I had all the upgrades I wanted. I beat level 50 the first try and now I'm stuck with tons of upgrades to buy except I don't have a way to earn fast cash any more. So yeah, I'm probably done playing it for the most part. If endless was more lucrative and ALL troops/skills had their unique advantages for the end-game, I'd be more inclined to continue playing. As it is now, it was fun while it lasted PS: as mentioned in my previous post, my main strategy was to get a tank out there and then just spam peasants with a swordboy on the field -- fun strategy that was VERY effective (I'd often push the skeleton army all the way to their entrance and keep them there). Being smart with Ash probably helped me, too.
Cool game but the difficiulty bump lvl 45+ is pretty crazy. Until then, I had just used a mid level arthur with a mid level healer... That got me through everything. This allowed me to put money in various troops/skills just to try them out and have fun. Boy, did I ever regret it. I wound up having to grind like crazy to get money to upgrade stuff to max. Oh, deathcoaster is pretty broken. At max level, it made everything so easy it was almost a joke... I wound up trying not to use it as a challenge. I went with: Max ash - max shotgun, coaster, the pit, max blacksmith Troops - max arthur, max healer, mid level Henry Thats what I used to get to 49. For 49-50, I wound up giving in and just upgrading horsemen. Got them to level 8. This made it insanely easy.
You can't get it in different playthroughs? I unlocked each one once already, just that they are in different playthroughs.. It's insane to unlock all in one playthrough!
Yeah, I agree - grinding for money in the endless mode takes too long, especially since you can end up playing one game for a LONG time (particularly after the last update). I stopped playing after the last update.
Also, I think a neat leaderboard would have been to show how much total money earned by the time you beat level 50 -- people with the least amount of money earned on top (showing they beat level 50 with less resources).
This was one of my favorite iOS games, just played so well. Auto-attack seemed odd to start but worked great so it was nice. I loved chainsawing the first 30 guys into the pit =P Too bad there is nothing to do once you beat the initial mode. My lvl 50 strat was all 3 heroes, swordsman and archers. I'd get Arthur first, the healing guy 2nd, then some swordsman/archers, and Henry was last because hes on a horse so you dont have to wait for him to walk for 30 seconds to get to you. I could get pretty far without maxed levels, but eventually had to get them all to max or close to actually beat it. Once you get max level guys you should be able to earn a ton of money quickly in endless mode, after a few tries I was able to basically last an infinite amount of time as long as I kept spamming units, and just used my hero mostly to run in and grab the money every 10 seconds. It only took like 30 minutes of grinding to upgrade everything from that point... too bad there was no reason to do so really. Anyway, really fun game.
Stuck at lv50 for few days until I read the guidelines here.. Never thought that MAX peasant is so powerful in term of delaying enemy from march forward. I beat my lv50 without using any hero, just pure MAX swordman + MAX peasant not even use swordman boy. Continuously spam till boss die. Now playing endless mode
Brute Force--Punch? So, after a few play throughs, I'm working on achievements. Brute Force is still eluding me. Does punch count as a special ability? I'm on wave 9 and have only used punch and regular ash attacks and can't seem to get the achievement! Edit.. just continued as I had been, finished wave 9 and got the achievement =) Never mind! Apparently punch does NOT count as a special ability for it.
This was way more fun than I expected, although I am with everyone else in thinking that there's no point to continue playing once you beat level 50. It was still more than worth the price though. I typically don't like this style of game but controllable hero made a big difference. Now I just can't bring myself to delete it even though I don't expect to play it anymore. I keep thinking that maybe endless mode will appeal to me eventually.
For "stay with the book" I used level 2 swordsmen on a very early level. I waited for two smithy upgrades, which put the deadites really close to the book, then spammed the swordsmen.
