Bumping a years-old thread, I was looking for a Rescue Raiders/Armor Alley iOS port. Shame this game wasn't released. There have been similar games, but this one looked really promising. I loved dodging the heat seeking missiles and trying to send them into the enemy... I did find this one, will give the Lite version a spin- http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=39354
Yeah, it was a great game. Fun to play again on my iPhone (I was a beta tester). There's Chopper/Chopper2, but they're not quite the same. They have the action but not the strategy. It's a shame the developer gave up.
