grats man! Celebrate with me by getting your face pwned by me .. .loljk. But every few games take your arms off. You get rusty in no arms fights when using all those arms after a bit D: btw check out the forum that i made. it even has chat :] http://armada.forumsmotions.com/forum.htm
-in the xzone map, pump out tanks and send them to your opponent asap in 1v1. Whatever you do, don't let him mass ships.
Speed kills. My strategy is a little simpler than some of the ones listed. I have double upgraded my lvl 1 mechs to make them as strong as possible. The only upgrades equiped are for mechs. Game starts. I place 9 mechs on starting crystal. It's very important not to waste any time doing this. Since they start mining and getting resources it is benificial to get all 9 on there. Practice getting them to there spots with on click. If u dally around clicking and clicking u sabotage yourself and waste too much time. After u make the first 8 manuver your ship towards where u suspect the next crystal patch to be. U will have 3-4 mechs buy the time u get there if u are lucky enough to find one close. Once they are in place u will make enough to constantly generate mechs. Put no more mechs on crystal. It is unnecessary. This early in the game every mech counts. Pause a few seconds and generate a group of mechs. Now find your enemy and rush him like he'll. Make sure your que is constantly producing. Every second that u leave it still is basically another casualty. I started playing this game Saturday and am ranked 9 now after 2 days with 142 and 16. Most of my losses occured because of gross miss matches in gear. I kept running into people with much higher arms scors. Most of the time I catch my opponets unprepared. Since I have 10 upgrades on those lvl1 mechs, they tend to be more effective pound for pound than my opponents. It's easy enough to counter in theory. But I'm very very fast, and good at controling my guys. I think if u know I will do it I would get shut down, but it's been working brilliantly for me.
This strat is dependent on having quick and accurate fingers. I'm constantly on the move. I scout with independent mechs. I pan around alot, and I practiced getting guys on minerals without stoping. Also, by double upgraded mechs, I meant +50 atk, and +35 attack. +50 range, +35 range etc. Also I'm doing away with my sight and speed upgrades in favor of more armor and health. Very strong little mechs. Many games I will roll an evenly matched opponent in around 1 min. As he moves to the middle to set up farms, I fatally smash him.
That strategy is gonna be completely useless in 2-3 days when the 1.2 update is out. All level 2 and 3 ARMs will be deleted.
Matching noobs without arms could not be more boring, and noob killing strategies are really not needed. Upgrade mech 1s with max health, armor, damage and attack speed, focus fire, dead noobs.
Eh, you said you were looking for people to contribute. I was just putting out a winning strat. If it becomes useless I will look at what they got and use the new stuff. Also, just because my plan is simple dosnt mean I can't play. In star craft and war 3 the top players on the leader boards all were simple rushes.
I think I faced you Da Vid. You completely destroyed a majority of my army in the first minute, and then I ran away with maybe 20% MS HP. And then I mass meched, and somehow I won when I rushed you with all my might! Either the game glitched (MS wouldn't retreat) or I got incredibly lucky. ><
You got me good. My only loss today. I took middle on that map crossroads, which I shouldn't do. I wasn't able to chase and finish you because my guys got jammed on the boxes. After a minute or two of our standoff the other guy started sniping me with ships. U massed me again, and it's all she wrote. Good game bro!
Does anyone know how getting disconnected affects your record? I'm getting disconnected left and right. I'm playing on a good connection, so it dosnt seem right to me. It's getting to the point where I suspect I'm being lagged out. Today I played about 20 games, no lag problems. I get matched against a guy named x7x7x7. He had and arms rating of 29,000. He rushed middle right away, without taking the time to fill the crystals by his base. I filled mine and then hit him hard. I targeted the mechs had on his crystals. In short order I had him on the ropes. My ship was safe behind a line of mechs I made, and he didn't have any immediate way to get money. I was closing in, and BAM. Frozen screen. My whole Internet crashed. No payday for me. The same basic scenario happens to me about 9 out of 10 times when I'm about to beat a high level player. There's a few good guys it dosnt happen against, like mcloud and func to name a couple. But I think people may be nuking other players connections to save there records. I don't have any solid proof, but the patter of imperical evidence in these sittuations is uncanny. It's boring for me to fight new players, but I'm sick of getting disconnected everytime I'm about to beat a decent guy.
I don't know about that David since more than half of x7x7x7's losses are from me and I've never had this issue with the same player more than once or twice before. It counts as one loss btw.
I guess it's murphys law then. Bummer. My Internet is making short work of my record. I'm going to see if there's something I can do to fix it, and then start over. I had it happen 23 times already. That's too much.
Thanks, I'm pretty confident in my game. Where's the info on 1.2 at? Also, good writeups. It's definatley a good idea to wait. Do u know if they will do anything to separate skill levels in matchmaking? It's boring to beat begginers, and it ruins the game for them.
