Things are looking good on our end. We are wrapping everything up for the beta. In the next few days we will be knocking off the rest of the to-do items and will vigorously test the game before releasing the beta. We are most likely releasing the beta at the end of this week. I am shooting for Friday. For all of those who are helping out I will have a "Special Thanks" section in our credits We will be releasing a series of beta builds all the way til gold version which we will submit to the Apple store. We are going to release another public beta build soon. It should fix most of the A.R.M.S. issue with equipping your units and not being able to start a game. This next build should include a lot of minor fixes also. If anyone is interested in the public beta please shoot me a PM with your full name, location and UDID. Updates on the beta phase: Build 6 will have - AI: AI will be in the training mode of the game to practice against. Although no credits will be earned when you practice offline. AI will mainly be used in the online game play. So if you join a match and the computer can't sort you into a open game then it will pair you up against the AI. Credits will be earned against online matches. - Menu button: Some of you have mentioned the menu button isn't working. We are finishing up this piece. In the menu it will have a list of who is actively in the game, their win loss records, and their A.R.M.S. power. The A.R.M.S. power will give a hint to which player has the most advantage in the game with their armadas equipped. The more powerful the upgrade they have equipped the higher the A.R.M.S. power number. Lastly the menu will have a surrender button to exit the current match. Some have asked us why there isn't a pause. When you are battling online in a live match there is no such thing as pause. =) Most matches lasts about 5-10 minutes. Although I have seen one match go as long as 20minutes. We adjusted the AP crystals to deplete faster so that the match won't run for that long and it will force everyone into a more intensive battle. A.R.M.S. (Armament Refinement Mobile System) Right now you can equip multiple items of the same kind to stack up the power. We are going to limit it down to 1 unique item so you can't stack it. This will limit a unit's power so it doesn't go overboard. This also forces a player to make a unit more versatile in different areas. For those who aren't familiar with this system let me explain: You earn credits by playing online and you use the credits in exchange for items in the inventory. When you obtain your items you can equip an upgrade up to 10 slots. Each unit has upgrade ability of: health, armor, attack power, attack reload speed, mobility speed and sight range. There are 3 levels of upgrade of each which can be combined. Unit balances: Right now the balances of the units are playing out well. Lots of mechs (low AP cost) can take out a fleet of ships. Tanks can take out a fleet of mechs with their splash damage but cannot hit ships. Ships are tank counters. So the way you position your units play a big role in the outcome of the game.
