Very disappointed by the controls, not relative touch at all, you press the screen and your ship just sits underneath your finger. Very annoying I cant believe devs dont look at other shooters and check out what controls are good etc. I'm hoping this will get an update but dont like the controls. The game has potential for sure but hmmm ! PewPewOnYou likes this. Brightsiderus Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2017 1,480 244 63 #5 Brightsiderus, Jan 15, 2021 I guess that they haven’t got much testers. I saw their discord which has... only one person, the developer. There was an announcement that they are looking for 100 testers, but I don’t know how much testers were there. If they came here, they could work it out. Maybe you can contact them on Twitter. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,283 337 83 England #6 psj3809, Jan 15, 2021 Yeah i did message on twitter about relative touch. But yeah shame they didnt ask here. Surely they had a few testers but I'm not impressed as maybe no one mentioned relative touch Without that i just dont have fun playing a shooter. shamusl New Member Jan 15, 2021 3 6 3 Male #7 shamusl, Jan 15, 2021 Hi, developer here! I just wanted everyone to know I am listening to everyone's feedback and will incorporate some of the best suggestions into the game over time. Relative controls are something my 20 testers didn't note when they were testing the game, so it's just something I was blind to, unfortunately. It's not terribly difficult to add, but might take about a week to get working and tested. I plan to continue to support Arkfront over time with additional content and features. Already version 1.1 will be available in the next few days to fix crashes, performance problems, typos, and add additional levels to the campaign to increase variety between attempts. If there's anything you'd like to see from Arkfront or if you run into any issues please let me know in the game's discord, available here: Discord or on twitter, available here: Twitter Lull4by and L.Lawliet like this. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,283 337 83 England #8 psj3809, Jan 15, 2021 Sounds great, cant believe the testers didnt mention it ! Even without relative touch I’m gonna buy it. Hopefully the game is somewhat playable as is. Edit: Well, the Ark at the bottom keeps getting in my way. If that was moved lower or if the dev could possibly make the ship able to hover over it without obstructing your flight path would be nice. The game is playable for me without relative touch but it would of course be a welcomed addition to have the option. I haven’t played more than 20 minutes or so, but I’m hoping with new weapons the fire rate will go way up. Seems like you start out pretty underpowered. I’m not a big fan of having to line up directly below an enemy for your guns to fire, but it may grow on me. Overall, the game screen seems cramped, and many times it seems impossible to make it through a level without taking damage. I’d only recommend the game (in its current state) to really hardcore shooter fans. Like @psj3809 mentioned, there’s a ton of potential here. Lull4by Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 585 201 43 #13 Lull4by, Jan 18, 2021 I think it is a part of the game, sometimes you have to choose tanking the damage for ark, or just let the ark damaged since your ship is almost dead, the ark is also protected by shield, so it is okay I guess. shamusl and Anotherkellydown like this. shamusl New Member Jan 15, 2021 3 6 3 Male #14 shamusl, Jan 19, 2021 Yes, this is the intended design! You can repair your ship and the space station at outposts along the way. The goal is finding a balance of where you can take damage and what you need to protect. shamusl New Member Jan 15, 2021 3 6 3 Male #15 shamusl, Feb 8, 2021 I've heard everyone's feedback and I'm working on improving the controls for the next major update to Arkfront.
