Because I'm starting to get sick of it. It felt good back in the day Initial D made it popular, but now it's getting too-much, and so many games require us to drift even when we don't have to, which is silly.
eg: You must collect drift points in Ferrari GT to win some challenges, why? I can easily win the track smoothly, so why do I have to drift?

oh and I'm getting sick of Nitro and Cops too.

well some games it fits, there is a lot of it though...as if it's a standard criteria

    I never drift in fastlane
I cut the corners and it provides a lot of challange

Yes I was going to mention Fastlane. You can drift in that, but you will win more races by attempting to get round the bends without drifting, following the proper racing line around the them at a faster speed instead.

I love drifting in racing games myself, and find it best off-road Rally style. Which is why I have been hoping and praying for a proper Rally title.
