lol for those of you who can't read it: I feel that grammar and spelling are important in everyday life. Do you agree? I hate how so many people who have English as their first language do not take the time to learn proper grammar.

Yup . . . one of my pet peeves are people who seem like they intentionally type everything grammatically incorrect online.

    And also in real life.

The only time that incorrect grammar is acceptable is on lolcat captions. It just makes it funnier in my opinion. Bad grammar for any other reason is lazy and retarded.

I'm fine with internet words though. Such as lol, rofl, omg, pwned etc.

lol.......I can actually make this out.:)

I have to admit when I'm typing fast I will spell incorrectly but try to at least revise it. But not doing it intentionally. I just feel we are dumbing down English to the point of being acceptable and (to me) that is very scary.

Reminds me of a movie I'd seen when a few people went into the future and had to figure out what these people were saying. Turns out it was the pledge of allegiance (U.S. flag) or something close to it. Completely forget what program it was.
Star Trek or something......I don't remember.:)

On another note, doesn't the auto speller create havoc when typing incorrect words? Maybe you can turn this option off I would guess.
