    • Are there many people here who have not had problems after installing 3.0 on Touch?

      Hi everyone,

      I have a 2nd gen IPOD Touch and am on the fence about updating
      to 3.0 due to the fact that I've read numerous reports of people having
      problems with wi-fi not working and battery issues. There is one game
      in particular that I really want and it requires 3.0 to download the game.
      Just would like to hear some success stories with people who have the Touch and have not had issues after installing. Have had my Touch since last
      September and just worry if I do download 3.0 I might have the same issues other people have experienced. Any input would be greatly appreciated (I'm also somone who can be a bit technologically challenged at times). Thanks

      I haven't had any problems and have had the update since June 20th.

      I've had mine upgraded since the day it came out and I have no problems.
      No icons mixing.
      Battery life seems equal if not better than before.
      WiFi still works great and I think might actually work a bit faster for me.

      Either way, the problems I've heard of are nothing to not upgrade over.
      Even if it is something bad Apple is already working on 3.1 so that will hopefully be out soon for the people who are having problems.

      I upgraded my iPod touch and it went without a hitch. I can't comment on WiFi because I don't have any. I like the new 3.0 update overall, having spotlight and some games load faster. Baseball Slugger is also one of the reasons why I updated to 3.0

      Got it the day it came out, no problems so far.

      Sure some games weren't compatible with it, but those got updated and now run as smooth as butter.

      I had a few problems with the jailbreak so I had to re-jailbreak, but I don't think I had any problems with 3.0 itself besides sometimes I don't have a status bar for some reason.

      No issues for me on my ipod touch with 3.0

      I've had it since it came out.

      I have a 2nd Gen iPod Touch.I finally got mine updated two days ago because some games needed 3.0 to be updated or played. The installation went smoothly. All my apps are working fine. Nothing got deleted. Nothing strange happened with the icons or anything. The battery life is the same and there isn't any overheating issues with it. I've had no problems at all so far. I haven't noticed any improvement in performance but having spotlight function is nice.

      no problem here but the apps that seems to switch icons is mostly some of Gameloft games but it's the Lets Golf for me but other than that no icons pic switch but the app that did got switch I sort of like it with the lets golf icon. Maybe thats a feature? :)
