I don't get these claims that nothing good is coming out, almost every week there's been really solid games getting released. MotoHeroz is great this week, as expected. Yes there are IAPs in it, but they are just for the impatient. You can unlock everything by just playing, and that seems like part of the fun to me. That's just one of the good releases this week.

I dont think iOS gaming is dying out BUT i do believe we have to keep buying games at full price. If we all waited for a price drop (so company x makes half the money they thought they would) or we wait for games to be free then surely those game companies will think 'we'll make more money on another platform, lets leave iOS'.

I always buy games instantly, granted i'm older than some kids here but when theres games for the price of a burger its just ridiculous why kids wait for them to be free.

At the end of the day the more games sell, the more companies make money and they'll want to keep making iOS games. If we all wait for cheap offers or freebies then eventually when another company says to them 'is that all you made on iOS, we made triple that for (another platform)' then company after company will start to abandon iOS for its 'big name games'.

I have nothing to add, but everyone should read and agree with this person. And then you read and agree again. Then you brush your teeth, come back to your iPhone and buy some games at full price.

That's exactly what I've been preaching for the last 2 years. The market need money. Devs need more money to be able to develope their next games. Who likes to work for free anyway?

Throw away sites like FAAD, 'cause in the end, they do more damage than good. Possible that sales rise for a short time after they've got a featured as free games on these sites, but after that, downfall.
Even more, FAAD (as I read in the dev section of tA) is promoting games for "just" 15.000 - 20.000 bucks meanwhile. Compared to their start with 500 - 1000 bucks for an app. Some devs have to pay them this amount and also need to make their games free. The system, as a whole, becomes more and more stupid.
Furthermore: today, lots and lots of people expect the most games to be free, one day or another. And since games are released on a daily base (and the bigger titles once a week), there's enough free stuff every day to just keep waiting.
I really doubt that this is the right way. The iOS already lost a lot of good indie devs.

admit or not, I get to say gameloft is still the best or second IOS dev.
tintin, mc3 and gangstar rio debuted on app store within one month, tintin is console quality, mc3 is best FPS game for mobile so far and gangstar rio is even better than gta3.
only gameloft could made these happen. and many other devs still can't catch up with the quality of nova 2 or dungeon hunter 2.
if gameloft made a premium sequal game to shadow guardian, it's would be awesome.
