true, but its still a good idea to keep an open mind about things. Most of the fanboyism and attacking isnt even about Gameloft. They make a lot of fuss about the companies, but its really just thinly-disguised "My FPS game is better!" talk. That is the problem at the core. Its not the company itself, but the two FPS games that everyone is REALLY rallying around.
A gentleman fights his own battles. You don't need to go into a flame war for him, he is a douche that don't deserve a friend like you.
Nor is it as entertaining. No offense, but Touch Arcade forum fights sometimes get me through the day with the sheer comedic value. Not yet as bad as Youtube flame wars though, which I am thankful for.
Yes I do, do you have a problem with that? EDIT: i guess to elaborate. I work all day and have a 1-year old to care for. Even If i wanted to, I cant dedicate a solid hour or 2 for console gaming. As such, I dont own any of the latest consoles. I have a dreamcast and xbox which I dont use. So all my gaming is done through the iPhone, and it hasn't disappointed with FPS, RTS, TB RTS, rpg's etc. So yes, I do conisder it my primary gaming device. It's the whole reason I got it.
all this talk for da shiz wiz being "illiterate"? Check the forum rules and for those too lazy: back on topic: They're not papeweights they're intangible But I did re-play hero of sparta to play with the weapons I got, it was another fun hack 'n slash experience
Hey I just wanted to throw this out there. If you think sarcastic is the most annoying thing you have ever met then please report him for excessive flaming, or tell him to stop. Lets see he has no friends to defend himself so he attacks my friends. I have a life so I cant respond to every flaming comment he makes about me, and to top it all off he's a sexist, and a racist.
sarcastic i think you should stop i might not be the most popular person on the forums but i wanna do my bit calm down
I'll tell you what're paperweights: these tired threads about Gameloft. For crying out loud, 'let's diss Gameloft' threads are about as prevalent as zombie games in the App Store.
Wellllll... Gameloft is interesting. I have a couple of games, I don't play them all that much, but I don't regret the purchase of them. They're raising the bar substantially for iPhone games across the board. Them and EA are really the only two major developers (that I know of) that have invested heavily into the app store. If EA and GL turn a profit, other companies see it as a safe investment, and start making high quality big budget apps. So for that I'm thankful. In terms of their games, I give them some leeway. The iPhone is a relatively new platform, and figuring out how to use the controls, and system resources is tough. An example is Terminator Salvation and Brothers in Arms; BIA was a precursor to the TS control system. That and the margins aren't high enough to assign really skilled game designers within the company. I like their games for the most part, for what they cost, it's not too bad. I hold no resentment towards them
