escort quest there's a little house just a little ways after the first village gate. you'll find a lady in there who wants escort to taryn ridge (i guess she wants to visit a cousin or something, don't know why she built a house that far away in the first place)
You can switch to your ipod app while playing aralon, start it, and come back and the music continues. However, if you start the ipod app, then start Aralon, you won't hear your music.
This is a pretty good game, but The Quest and its expansions still beat it in terms of a deep open world RPG. Of course i like the old school style of The Quest, so its only my opinion.
I think it would be great if I could see how many hours I have logged on each character. Is there a way to do that yet? If not maybe the devs can implement it in a future patch.
i hate this game! i have been leveling up from 32 to 36, 4 leels and suddenly i can't load my save games. the screen is just dimmed. i can load from the auto save but it's loaded my game with my character still at level 32!!! arghhhhh!!! wasted 2 hours for nothing. buggy game, released early because to profit from christmas sale!
hi, Galooberthgames, thanks for making this great RPG, this is definitely the best game in iOS device that resembles elder scrolls series. sorry for my post above because i was really pissed off after losing my 4 levels just like that. about the dimmed dark screen after loading the save game, is the save game corrupted? can it be fixed on the next update without having to load from auto-save again? please let me know, because if it can be fixed, then i'd rather wait for the next update until it's released to properly load my save data again. i know i can load it from the auto-save and be done with it, but it makes me afraid to play again and level up again if sooner or later the dimmed screen bug is going to happen again. thanks...
Hey Josh, been following your work since when Rimelands hooked me and so Aralon was a must buy for me. First things first: as you yourself have stated, the game is rough round some edges and needs polishing. I have no issues at all with graphics and the occasional bugs there have been no actual gamebreakers for me so far, and the annoying glitches, well, I can wait for them to be fixed. I found some questionable design choices, though, but maybe that's just me: for example, when you run out of energy there are some skills that would start anyway if I activate 'em, just to see the "Not enough energy" message after they are fully charged. Putting the message before you lose that precious split second would be a nice idea. As would be linking a bow with its arrows: I'm playing as a ranger, and too often, while switching from bow to sword to bow again, I needed to enter the inventory and re-equip the arrows that were unequipped by default when I switched to melee. A way to cancel an action link (right now, if I no longer want a quikc link I need to overwrite it with a new one) with a tap would be welcome, too. But all in all, these are just minor complaints, and that can be easily fixed when and if the devs see it fit. And a number of minor complaints can never overshadow the basic fact behind Aralon: it sucks you in. I started to crave the long tube trips to the office and back just so I could get back playing. I sacrificed precious hours of sleep playing Aralon in bed. I love the game world, the way it looks and the nice balance between relaxing tasks (like searching for ingredients or hunting deers) and the well-paced battles. I started up devising strategies and home-made combos to maximise my results in combat. Finding loot is compulsive as ever. The story is simple but fascinating. Deciding where to go next and which quest to embark on is the best feeling an RPG fan could ever hope for. I downoaded the game when it came out and started playing it soon after. The first half-hour, I have to admit, didn't impress me THAT much. I even considered abandoning the game to dedicate myself to Lara Croft and the GoL. But I persevered, and was rewarded with what could easily be the best RPG experience on an iDevice ever (with the possible exception of Undercroft). No Final Fantasy clone could even dream about comparing itself to Aralon, IMHO. Congrats for your efforts, Josh, guys at CM, guys at Galoobeth, and thank you. I'll keep supporting this game and I intend to play the hell out of it.
Greatest IOS game out there Alright I've been following this game since about June when I first heard about it and waited for it's arrival in the AppStore anxiously and have NOT BEEN DISSAPOINTED this is the a really really good game (sure it's a BIT rough around the edges) but hey even if it still had the old graphics it would still be untouchable. Now for the complaints-only one, either add (using iPod touch 4th gen) another quick slot or allow use of spells and mount deeds in menu cause I'm a ranger and I have alot of moves/spells that I tend to use and I am badly running out of spots to quickslot. - End complaint Begin inquiry - about Ravensword 2 is that gonna be like Aralon or like the original ravensword. In that is it gonna be a WRPG or an action adventure...cause we all would love another WRPG from you guys. Once agin great work to all you guys.
Put some in the second tier, then just switch down to it, although I do agree that it's hard being a ranger because of all the skills.
luther Where do you find Luther for the Into the Mansion Quest? I've walked around the entiriety of Callaheim and i didn't find him or whatever the "pond" is
I was really loving and appreciating this game since I bought it on launch day until today at lvl 29 in the keep, I crashed and now all three of my save games are corrupted where the load and sit at a dimmed out screen frozen I had encountered the save game bug early on and had been usig three slots on my warrior to protect against this, but it is fairly ridiculous to lose all three saved data slots on one crash and not be able to continue your progress and be forced to start over..
Know what would be really awesome? If somebody who has completed all the quests could compile a list of all the quests, their starting locations, and prerequisite quests. That would be pretty sweet...
