I'm with you on all those points. Hopefully the disappearing and respawning time will be tweaked in future updates
where so u fo to find the mothers grave and where do u find the dudes that the cAllheim knights or whatever want to kill..they say to disrupttheir meeting and kill all of them
For the calheim knights you need to go to the mansion (one of the big gates in (west?) calaheim leads there, the map will help). I'm having a bit of a bug with this quest because when I approach them I get the cut scene and when they say "we have an unwelcome guest" I can't tap the screen to fight them (stuck in their conversation)
Are helms supposed to look like this? Because it looks really weird having them only cover half the head.
hey hey lmao duel-wielding is da best ! personaly for me it is ! im correctly lvl 40 rogue, playing normal. is that rly the best look i can get in this game ;O?
My impressions: After the first hour or two my feeling was that this game was pretty much what i thought it would be: A step in the right direction for open RPGs on the iphone, but nothing that would really blow me away. Ravensword on roids. I must say though i'm getting more drawn in the more i play. was really impressed with the sewers below Calleheim...cool dungeon with a couple zones...larger than i thought it would be. I liked that i was able to invis and sneak around a mob much higher level than me and loot a pretty awesome weapon and sneak out. The quest so far seems much more involved than anything else i've played in terms of "mobile" RPGs. the fact you have mounts (white horse = real fast!), you can craft etc., have skill trees...i'm impressed so far. I like the combat. Is it infinity blade? No. But you can block, you have special attacks, you will have to use your head at times instead of just spamming attack. (if you just spam, try fighting mobs a few levels above you). I haven't encountered many bugs yet, outside of falling through the floor in one room (final level in Calleheim dungeon i believe). Bugs seem to be very dificult to get rid of in PC RPGs, and with this one being so open and deeper than other mobile RPGs i can understand how hard it would be to code and test. But so far i haven't really encountered anything to stop me or hinder my fun. Can only hope the devs continue to debug and update to clear up any issues for other folks. So far, 8 out of 10 with chance to move up (or down) depending on where things go from here. Very happy with purchase so far though.
proportion in Aralon Is it me or do things, especially characters and monsters seem too small compared to the back ground environments? The bar in the starting in for example. The bar and bottles and mugs seem huge compared to your character and the bartender. We look like hobbits. Outdoors we all seem too small as well. I love the game but this is driving me crazy.
emerald brew quest after I tell the guy to talk to Rufus, I go downstairs and they both try to kill me! And once i kill them, it says i havent completed the quest still, even after I steal his letter. whats up with this?
It is not just you - the characters seem to be scaled at about 70% of normal size for some odd reason. doors bug me most - walk up to one and your head is lined up directly with the middle of the door. Bookcases are so high you would never be able to reach the books.. Oh, and beds - you need a stepladder to get in them! I wondered if it was deliberate to make the world seem larger tbh. I would imagine it is a tricky fix though, re-scaling everything.. the other scaling issue is that the insides of certain buildings are wayyy bigger than the outside: the Cold Sands Keep for one!
Beat the game at level 46 rogue, I'm gonna play again though, this time as a warrior and normal mode since I'm pretty use to the game now. Question: is it better to have a shield or to dual weild as a warrior?
wtf dude i load up my game in the masion for the quest and all i see is a black screen with music playing wtf!!!!!!!!
RELAX !!! Do you realize that Aralon is the "only" game on the iOS that comes close to the "Oblivion" experience. Most complaints are coming from older devices. "Booh, my 2 - 3 year old ipod wont play the latest and greatest games. Don't think of your i-device as a console. Instead, think of it as a PC. If you wanna play "now games" smoothly, you should have a "now-device" that can run them. About the bug issues. SHIT, even Harry Potter had issues with the last update. The developers had a choice: 1. Spend another 3 - 6 months trying to make it totally perfect, taking financial losses because of missing the Xmas rush. 2. Rush the finishing touches and release for the Xmas rush, make hard-core supporters of the game happy by finally releasing something, bring in some sort of income for all their 1 - 2 years of hard work (under scrupulous judgement), and listen to the community for improvements (1,000 heads thinking, is better than 3). Personally, I would have done the same. Anyone who is looking for the best possible solution, both for gamers and the developers, would have done the same. Think hard about this. It is a $7 game that closely mimics a console RPG experience, and will have the full attention and support from the developers.
I've noticed that if I double tap anywhere in the environment, my character will start running in that direction. But it doesn't seem to stop at the point where I tapped - it almost seems like a bug. And actually, it's a bit annoying since I'm often tapping multiple times to try to select targets to attack or loot, and then end up running off somewhere (which is how I fell in the water in Kyle Stronghand's lair). I think tapping/double tapping to move could be a good thing, but only if it's done right (and only if the targeting issues are fixed) - tap to target would of course have to take precedence, and it might be nice if a marker was placed to indicate where you're going to move to.
It's a little hypocritical for people to get psyched up and want to play the game as soon as possible and then complain that it was rushed. Think about it. If Aralon was still in development and you were given the choice to play a dev build right now, would you take it? I think that most people would. Of course, devs shouldn't rush out a half baked or glitchy game, but I think an exception can be made for Aralon.
But it's a video game. That's receiving free updates. You'll get sick of you eat raw meat, and pulled over if you drive said car, but play a buggy video game and you get...annoyed. Anyone who doesn't like it in it's current state could always pretend it hasn't come out yet, and only play it once it's totally and completely fixed to your satisfaction. But methinks that'll never happen
